There are so many footers that the area looks like the back of a hedgehog with all the threaded rods sticking up. :)

All the "cement boxes" all seem to be going ina uniform direction except the one in the middle, does anyone have any speculations as to why this may be, or am i just be overanalytical here lol

That is a ton of footers. The funny thing is it doesn't looke like they are near done with footers yet.

I think there are still more footers to pour, so it could be a while.

About vertical construction. I was talking on Xtremecoaster.com and someone said that they were talking with a man with Intamin at El Toro's opening day. The man said that once they were done with El Toro (doing checks and what not) they were heading to Sandusky.
It doesnt necessarily mean that vertical construction will start soon, it's just some food for thought.

Hi guys in this pic i wanted to know what are the gray poles with the red caps on the top of them ...

i was thinking maybe the poles is going to be use for water or for electric lines..By the way there are so so many of these poles....Let me kno0w what u guys think .Also i think its going to be a dueing coaster cause there are so many footers

If its what I'm thinking of, the gray poles with red caps are just markers so that the drivers can see where footers are. Keeps them from running construction equipment into them, which could cause them to have to remove and re-pour a footer.

The poles are pipes and the red caps are there to make them visible.

No, they're not for water or wires, they are just stuck over some of the rod stock so workers driving machinery around will see them and not hit them.
