Remind anyone of a certain infamous TTD construction pic?

Another great update, as always, Walt.
It looked like they were pouring new concrete for a path in one of the pictures close to a midway. Is the old WWL entrance going to be Maverick's entrance, or is it going to be moved somewhere else?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Great pix, Walt. Gotta say, seeing these, I'm feeling the first real pangs of genuine sadness for the summer gone and the next one still so far off.
Hey, here's a thought. What if CP had a special one-time auction to ride Maverick...before the canyons and landscaping are installed. Sort of like riding Space Mountain with the lights on, except this would only happen one time, ever.
Okay, okay, everybody resist pushing the Flame button. I know there's about thirty logical reasons why it would never happen. But...what if? Wouldn't that be a heckuva credit to get?

Thanks for the update, Walt. I'm really excited the things coming together. I can't wait to ride it in the summer. :) All of the brakes, kicker wheels, electrical conduit and cable trays really have me excited!! I love the tech behind these things. Fun stuff!!!
I have to say, though. I'm REALLY disappointed that CP would let the American flag deteriorate like that and not replace it. That's really sad. Maybe they should've stuck with the pine tree.
Then we'd just be left with something like this. http://static.flickr.com/3/3397187_5e66169fc1_m.jpg

Amazing pictures, Walt!
This is a super exciting update. It's always great to get behind the scenes... even if it's through someone else's eyes.
Thanks!
^^halltd... I'm gonna have to agree with you about the flag. I was thinking the same thing, but I'm guessing the wind may be so harsh up there that replacing the flag may be pointless... cause I'm sure the new one would be tore up before too long as well. *** Edited 12/14/2006 5:27:30 AM UTC by STR8FXXXINEDGE***

"Welcome to Cedar point, where all coasters built after 2002 are required to be urinated on before testing begins."
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Maybe this is some kind of tradition or part of a ceremony, like the naming of naval ships (although they use champagne, as far as I know). ;)

Before any crazy rumors get started, he's just walking along the side of the building.
I thought it looked like he was driving the lift. If you look at the perspective between him and the other guy...I'm not sure there's enough space between them make the guy in the foreground that much taller. *** Edited 12/14/2006 12:32:58 PM UTC by Jeff Young***

It looks like some track for something. Could be a duct for wire too. It would be eaisier if we knew where it started and where it ended. BTW, great update Walt! *** Edited 12/14/2006 12:52:55 PM UTC by ltparkmaster***

Excellent Update!! Great work. This update was worth the wait, glad to see you were able to get there during the off season. Just cheered me up.
^^^ Its a cable tray. They run all the electric cables on it so they can get to them later if they need to. There are identical trays on WT and TTD. You can see them a lot in data centers too. Basically they're just used to organize cables.
Great update Walt.. THANKS. Its scarey to get a better update from Pointbuzz then from Cedar Point!
I was thinking the same about the flag, but the wind excuse dont fly (lol) its a flag, they are made to be put in the wind. There are different quality of flags. Either way it needs to be replaced or taken down.
