Update: August 5

It's $50 for a 20 minute flight. That's Griffing's standard price for that flight. Cheap or not, $50 a shot adds up. :)

Do you have to make reservations, or do you just show up?

Sorry...now i understand all this talk about square footers. That was confusing me for awhile...thanks halltd for explaining and not bashing!!!

There is nothing quite like becoming a human windshield on Millennium Force

It would be really awesome if there was this big spaghetti bowl right in the middle. I don't think it will be there, but to have this large ball of track surrounded by just some over banked turns/airtime hills would look cool and probably be fun too. :)

I also thought the next arial photos would help me figure out the layout...atleast a bit, but with only some of the supports up and so many on the ground it's become really confusing.

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

I always call in advance and they give me a time slot. They're pretty busy and they can tell you if they have a pilot / plane available. I suppose you might get lucky if you just walk in off the street, but I figure chances of that working are pretty low.

Nice photos, Walt.

As for the WWL station: I think they may end up tearing it down a little later down the line. There's still plenty of time left for them to tear things down & do more building. The location of the station may not allow them to tear it down yet (because of all of the cleaning up while the park is still open). They may wait until the park is closed down for the season until they build a different station. Or they might expand it...

Well spent $50, Walt.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

The beams are playing tricks on the eyes because it's hard to see which are just laying there and which are actually on footers!

I can't wait to see how these turns are going to go around the pond!!

Great Pics. The aerials put the whole area in to perspective for me, I was trying to make myself believe the area was bigger. I am kinda hoping that there will be an expanison to the area so it spreads out more and heads toward the mine car ride a little more. Its hard to tell, is this gonna be an out and back or something simular to meanstreaks "circular" configureation? After riding rides like the son of beast i am not a big fan of 360 helixs and it looks like this ride will have at least one if not more. What ever it is i will ride it. In my oppion, which wishful thinking, i think there are 2 coasters being built, each differnt types i belive what is being built first is a floorless and it will have flyer shadowing it or at points intertwining it. Proabally not whats happening, just my wishful thinking

Shoot the rapids, tame and dry. Thunder Canyon, wet and laughter. Snake River Falls, soaked and smiling. White Water Landing and the old shoot the rapids, Fun and missed.

I haven't been on here for awhile but did anyone find out whats under the blue tarp?

Can anyone clarify for me. Are there footers on both sides of the railroad tracks? To me it looks like there could be or it is it just me looking at it wrong?

Those are just rocks they put there as scenery.

I am new to this board and I just like to read all of the topics and thought I would never reply to anything but I need to this time! Just by the way everything is looking at the work site and the way the track looks(if you really STUDY the track) We have a coaster like Stormrunner at hershypark being built at CP. Just my 2 cents Thanks!!

As in another hydraulic launch, or just the inversions?

They are not going to build 2 hydraulic launch coasters [consecutively].

I think mostly the inversions, just looking at everything in a whole just reminds me way to much of stormrunner. I could verywell be wrong to!

Yeah, but i still say Aquatrax. a stormrunner is very likely though.

Coming Soon! Star Wars episode 7- The Fallen Hero
episode 8- The Republic in Crisis
episode 9- Victory of the Force

I highly doubt that we will be seeing a hydraulic launch.

Stormrunner=likely Launch=not so likely, just my idea looking at space.

BTW: THANK YOU WALT! :)

R.I.P. Mr. Scott

Maybe the inversions are some wierd, new elements we've never seen before? That would be sweet, but im probably wrong...but whatever. Something to think about!

This pic certainly shows that those supports are for station.

Until this update, I thought the ride would start out heading towards Mean Streak. Now it looks like it will start off heading towards MF. I'm still confused, but excited.
