I was commenting on Steve4Hockey's description of the launch area, but you hit the high points as well.

Lift hill over the launch, yes. Drop into that curve, no. It will do a bit more before it gets to that point. Unless this thing will only be about 100 ft tall or slightly smaller. That would make for quite a boring first half of the ride wouldnt it? If you look at the arials, the first curve they put up will have more track coming to it from the right hand side next to the launch.

I think you gentlemen should just spill the beans on everything since you're so sure of what it's not going to be.

Hi everyone-So someone help me out here...after seeing the Aug 30 pictures, along w/ all the others...what's the layout here? I'm seeing probably a lift hill above the launch we're seeing, drop into the curve, go over the 70ft hill, around & through the two loops, then into the launch area, then over to the swan ponds and probably back into the loop area again & then end? that's roughly what it looks like to me...but someone w/ more knowledge & someone who's visited it...please let me know.
Thanks!
This is my (so far correct:)) layout.

It doesnt really show height, just where track will go.

Where is this in relation to the ride?

I see that third row of footers too but they seem to end about the time you get to that shed. I can see these easily being where they put the transfer track for the station up top. Kind of like it is alongside millenium force, just a single rail. I think this area where everything is right next to each other could be where we find a piece like this...

Just checked webcam. It looks like the shed has some kind of siding on it.

Thatnks for the picture update everyone!! Great work by all as always.
I'm thinking the train is going to slow down a LOT before it gets to the flat part of that run. The transition between the downward sloping triangle track into the flat 2-rail track looks VERY sharp. That would be a pretty rough bump if you were speeding along at a healthy clip.
The other thing I noticed last night which REALLY confuses me is the number of footings along that launch track. Check out the aerial here http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m193/zbus12/mkmav.jpg and follow along with me.
There's the single row of footings down the center for the launch track. That's already down now.
Then you have the outer row of footings and supports for the taller "lift hill" which is yet to be installed. The supports are already on most of the footings already though. So, that makes sense.
But then, you have three more rows of footings. There's two rows of square footings which I can guess are for "building" supports - a tunnel if you will. Ok, that's easy to figure out since most station footings are square - see MF construction photos for proof.
But if you look closely, there's one single row of other footings on the lake/bay side of that run. What are these for?? Do you think they're just for angled supports for the lift? So, the lift will actually have three support for it, not just two (two on one side and one on the other?) I guess that makes sense. Well, maybe I just figured out my own question by typing all of this nonsense. LOL!!
I guess that brings up another question though. IF the square footings really ARE for a tunnel around the launch, all of the support posts that go up to the lift hill are going to have to puncture whatever the tunnel is made out of. That is kinda weird to me.
Oh well. Thanks again for all the pics everyone!! :)
OK, my first guess for this ride and I have not yet been to the park yet this year but I am putting two and two together here. Are the supports for this new ride the same color as the smaller supports of Top Thrill Dragster and is the track similar in color??? I could be wrong and maybe it's my monitor settings, but I figured I would put that out there.
Take you up really really high and then drop you at speeds that are really really fast.
What are you saying exactly? =S

Hey you guys check out that siding on the building. It is wood looking siding. Hey looks like we were right on the western theme;)

Just got back from the park, don't know if it would be any help but the so called "launch" track does have a plastic wrap around it, so im guessing these track peices are important, I would have gotten a picture but camera phone isnt that good for a picture to turn out.

Under Millennium Force's first overbanked turn.
It is electrical conduit.
