Correct, the seats on a Windwalker dont rotate like X.
Do a search on youtube for "Accelerator PortAventura". There is an annimation of the Windwalker that is under construction there. It is the first and only one in existence.

Can anyone confirm a new sign that says something like "This is something you've never seen before."
Perspective is a funny thing. I thought the track pieces were only about 18" high. Until I saw a truck parked right in front of some track. All of a sudden, what appeared to be 18" was actually something like 36". So the estimate of 12' between posts might actually be 24' which would be wide enough for windwalker. We have nothing to give us perspective and the angle isn't very good. So I don't think we can eliminate the windwalker as a possibility yet.
That being said, I think it's pretty unlikely. Some of the banks and the distance between poles and the ground on that shot everyone is talking about certainly put serious doubts in that idea. Too bad, I was hoping for that design.
jugga,
I wouldn't be surprised if outside contractors were working on Disney rides given the state of the Imagineering Division right now. And, Pirates at WDW is/was undergoing some work to add the Johnny Depp character similar to the California version.
So, is it possible the guy on the plane was legit? I guess so. I have thought it was going to be an Aquatrax for some time now so that wouldn't surprise me.

You obviously don't like it when people think differently then you.
I think it's snide when someone says "now go measure your arm." You don't?
Incidentally, you don't know what I think: I wasn't arguing in this thread that it WAS going to be a windwalker. I was trying to determine whether someone else's definitive statement -- that the photos clearly proved that it couldn't be one -- were really the case. Given that no one seems to know precisely the width of intamin's new trains and/or the width between the supports, it seemed (and still seems) like a viable question. I don't think my friend DJ's responses were particularly civil, that's all.
This won't be a wing-walker or whatever it is. As you can see in that one picture it would definitly hit the ground/other supports.

Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.

Has Intamin built any coasters like this before? What are seat locations like?

From the new pics on another web site.....PP. This thing looks more and more like it will have some huge inversions. Also, a new piece of track has shown up...its kind of interesting.
Thanks for all the compliments on the pictures everyone!!! I hope to keep them coming....
On a side note I have to agree with most of the discussion that there is less than 10 feet of clearance betweeon those supports, but if you look at this picture it kind of shows the ditance between the supports a little better...

Also, I did a really crappy mock up in photoshop of where I think the water is going to be on this ride.... Please excuse my lack of photo editing skills...
