Great pictures Walt. I enjoy checking in for updates. This project has me stumped as to what it is. I hope we find out soon, but I have a feeling CP will keep us in suspense for a few more months.
I haven't checked back in a while but weren't we supposed to find out what it is in augest ?

No, we were supposed to find out in August. ;)However, I don't believe that to still be the case.
Tony & Tyler's latest blog make me believe otherwise...
"Changing gears, we’ve got some exciting surprises coming up that we'll be taking out of our 10-gallon hats…
The winds of change are a-blowin’!"
However, they just say coming up and not soon...and we all know how they like to keep us in suspense, so we shall see.

My wife was on a flight
from Atlanta to Cleveland lastnight and had a very interesting conversation.
Normally I think this is crap but this guy had some key details correct.
Anyway he works for a company that is hired by Intamin to do animitronics and theming and he
just got back from working on the Pirates of the Carribean ride. In addition
he knew by name the Aqua Trax ride at Lotte World. He said since he isn't
employed by Cedar Fair he could say exactly what the new ride is. He said that
it is a Aqua Trax. Can this be true?
No I don't know dimensions but from this pic

I think its pretty obvious that it is too narrow to put windwalker trains through that, they could totally suprise me, but it was just and observation
http://www.pointbuzz.com/gallery.aspx?i=4682 I just wanted to point out that this pic above. There is water close to the top of the footers is there any reason that they didnt drain the water out of here yet look at this pic and you will see.The water is almost coming onto the other new footers.

In the past, Disney didn't hire outside consultants to work on animatronics and the sort. However, with the restructuring of WDI, there are more consultants than cast members. Even when I was an Imagineer in 1998, I worked with a bunch of consultants. Regardless, everyone has to sign the confidentiality agreements. So, even if this guy was hired by Intamin, I would think he'd have the same confidentiality agreements that employees of Adena and Firelands have.

Hmmm, I don't think that's too tight. If in fact these are the port aventura trains, my guess is that there is probably 4 feet of overhang (perhaps less) to accomodate two seats off the track. I can't tell if there is 4 to 5 feet of clearance above the ground once the track is installed on that bank, but it's too close a call in my view to definitely rule out windwalker trains. Similarly, I can't tell from the photos that there is not four feet of clearance on either side of the track through those center beams. (In fact, it would be a very cool and effective experience to launch or other race through that section flying so close to the beams -- but that, again, requires additional clearance).
Maybe someone who has been there in person can better guestimate the distance between the two sets of supports on the long rampway. *** Edited 8/4/2006 6:03:37 PM UTC by veritas55***
