My favorite pic so far.

Great stuff, Aaron.

And the plot thickens. :) Good pics.

This thing looks crazy! I can't wait until we see what this thing will do!

Blue Gemini Always Wins.

Great pictures Walt. I enjoy checking in for updates. This project has me stumped as to what it is. I hope we find out soon, but I have a feeling CP will keep us in suspense for a few more months.

The addition of the Sonotubes is quite interesting. Those are normally used for light loads like a wood deck or something. Maybe this is where a mid-course brake run is and the sonotube supports will be used for vertical access to the track?

Yeah that was my favorite as well DJ.

Cool pictures, thanks again folks for the updates.

The pic DJ posted proves that the station will be up in the air and during the ride you will go under it.

101 on Magnum and counting...

Or it could be the base for a lift hill or a big hill of some sort. I kinda think it's the basel for a lift since it looks similar to Expedition Gforce here. http://rcdb.com/ig977.htm?picture=1

I wouldn't say it "proves" the station will be up in the air. That's a possibility, but there are still many options for what these supports could hold...

Wonder if we will be going vertical soon? Kinda looks like it to me.

I think we can finally officially rule out a wind walker thing

The only thing that pic proves (and thusly why its my favorite) is that track will be going under other track.

Now, what it suggests to me is that this may be the end of the ride. As the track curves and goes under the other track, it then lines up with those gradually ascending footers in the distance, which could very well be a brake run.

while navigating through the visual goodness that is expedition Gforce, i ran across this photo.

take a look at that kickin' hill in the background.....widespread supports that start vertical from the ground on both sides. :)

edit: http://rcdb.com/ig977.htm?picture=18 better picture showing track going under and through the vertical supports too. similar concept - looks like P07 has lower track supports for the bottom track though. i'm excited!! *** Edited 8/4/2006 3:15:34 PM UTC by halltd***

They could also be used to hold lighting.

The proximity of supports with track mounts to other objects, such as Earth.

Brandon

I know the stretch of short supports between the two taller supports could be a lot of things, but that looks like launch supports to me. I dont know why but that was the first thing I thought when I saw that pic. Does anyone know if it is more common for Intamin launchers to incline on launch or for the launch to be level? (eg. WT is a level launch while TTD is inclined)
