Okay, that fits. Just was going through pics and saw that, found it interesting. Thanks! :)

Why would some of the supports have these "giant washers" while most of them that are up do not have them?

R.I.P. Mr. Scott

All of the supports that have been put into place have them. The reason they're used is because the rebar is much smaller than the holes it goes through on the support. This also allows for some give, making it a bit easier to construct the ride.

I have a question and I don't feel like it requires a new topic to be started.

How do they normally announce new rides? Interviews? Videos?
and do you guys know what kind of announcement project 2007 is going to be?

"Water will be involved." MrScott 2006

Cool thanks DBCP.

Favorite Coasters 1.MF 2. TTD 3. Raptor 4. Gemini 5. Magnum
Maverick perhaps? I wanna RIDE ON.

DrunkinMonkey, typically they're annouced with a press release and an artists's rendering. An animated version is sometimes included (mostly with coasters). I would think that this would pretty much be the same.

That gravel they are pouring is usually laid down before aspalt or cement is poured.

I'm thinking they might make a walkway for people to walk through that area to reach another area of the park once the ride is completed.

What? So that people can walk across the road and go swimming? I don't think so.

eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!

Ride on, MrScott!

And I mean that this looks more similar to Goliath than any other coaster.

It looks more similar to an Intamin coaster. You rally can't say it looks like Goliath when it also looks like MF, or Expedition GeForce, or Speed Monster, or Rita, etc...

Is it just me or does it seem like they haven't done very much in the last few weeks at the construction site?

In the last few weeks supports have gone up, TONS of them (pun!) have shown up on site, track has arrived on site, and part of a building has been constructed. I think more relevent stuff is going on now than when we were all watching concrete get poured.

The site looks pretty messy, doesn't it? It seems like they're getting everything in too fast.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

it just might be the pics. i have not seen it in person for a few weeks now. there could be alot of changes done to the site when you see it day to day(week to week) or whatever. its hard to tell bye pictures sometimes.

to us(non cunstruction people) it looks like a mess and not well organized. but to them i bet they know whereeverything is and they put it there for a reason. *** Edited 8/13/2006 5:40:43 PM UTC by milleniumforcerocks***

Aaron sent in some photos a couple of days ago from August 10, but I'm just now getting them up. Better late than never, I guess.
