You know.... The thing about this whole project that has me curious is why there is still WWL footers there. Out of everything to be curious about, I'm sure that's a pretty weird thing to be curious about.

But my biggest question is and it really stumped be by the layout of the footers, WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON AND WHAT ARE THEY PLANNING TO BUILD!!!

WWL Footers have me puzzled as well. After I got off the train and had my first view of them last weekend it was on my mind for the next hour. Station? yes, things can be done with it, WWL footers? ehh I dont even have a the slightest clue and thats probably how Cedar Point wants it!

Well, regarding the old WWL footers, why incur the cost of removing them? If they are not going to be reused, I suspect they will be buried once they start landscaping. To me, they are like old tree stumps.

Regarding the new set/line of footers, given their size, it's hard not to think they will be supporting something very tall or very heavy (new proto type trains?). The problem with very tall is the identified site is very small, yet the new footers seem to be of the same size as MF or TTD, which isn't totally unreasonable given the early start.

As much as I would like to see very tall (500+), I think the new prototype trains will be used on a fairly tall (200+) mega looper. The weight of the trains would justify the size, while the early start justifies the need for additional testing.

Regarding the large cluster of footers speculated to be the new station. Could that area be the foundation for a cable lift, given it's close proximity to the top of the curved trenches?

I dont think they would use the old WWL footers for the new ride. Wouldnt that be kind of dangerous, considering how old they are and the fact that they probably wouldnt fit with an Intamin support?

Yeah, Those footers are no good, and if they were any good, not saying they are, they would have to have lots of work done on them to use them.

Maybe WWL will magically fit back into place, with this ride going around it. They just needed to remove it to have the space to work, then it will be rebuilt.

It would be cool, but seeing as they tore down all of the themeing (I think) and effects of that ride I don't see it coming. I agree with the idea of them being hidden or buried or maybe covered over with foam for scenery.
Yes, I kind of like the idea of using that hard Styrofoam to make things out of those footers.

They could use those small, square WWL footers to hold up lights or maybe station supports for the new ride. Just because it's a footer doesn't mean it's for a piece of track. ;)

This could be a stupid thing I'm thinking of, but is this pissible if they built a 500ft coaster (which now I don't think will). How about if first launches you like TTD but not as fast, and then it catches on a chain lift, so it doesn't take as long to get up the hill.

Considering the space between the Footers on the Outside of the turn(Closest to Midway), and the new ones on the Inside, I can predict that a lift that could easily be 200ft tall(but probably not) will lead into a turn which is currently that trench.

The footers in the middle look to be a turn that probably goes under the lift/turn and the squarey/rectangulay footers are probably to hold up Scernery, a station, or a transfer track...

That would be a waste of a hydraulic motor... Might as well just use a fast cable lift... Even though you were right when you said this will not go over 500'

WWL was destroyed beyond any hope for repair or reuse when it was taken down, so its safe to say its gone forever. :(

If you visit PKI (That's another amusement park somewhere outside of Sandusky. I know! Hard to believe others exist, right?) you can still see footers for The Bat under Vortex. Why remove them if they're not in the way?

It's outside of Sandusky alright considering it's at the other end of the state.
