How come I can't see the pictures and it keeps telling me that I have to view them from pointbuzz.com? I'm signed into the site and I'm clearly on it. SOMEBODY HELP ME I WANT TO SEE THIS
So if it's a looping coaster, wouldn't it look something like this? http://rcdb.com/ig1412.htm?picture=5 I think that the track in that photo looks similar to the track that is on site now.

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker
I hope they don't go this route.

It seems like Thorpe Park and Intamin said "If we add three of these slow speed twist we'll break the record." They are sort of unoriginal and don't look very thrilling.
11 inversions doesn't sound like fun. The layout of the ride will look like Colossus, put an inversion every spot imaginable. At least when CP broke the height and speed records, they were very orginal about it. I would be unhappy to see the inversion record being broke.

same here, colossus looks like a great looping intamin with a millenium force style train... which may be disappointing to our... 'larger' pointbuzzers... as for me, well cedar point is part of my diet plan, as in its what keep me from eating my way to 200 pounds...
Those trains are susposed to bit very uncomfortable. The restraints are much different than they are on MF though.

Has anyone seen the 'signs' (sidewinding, new direction etc) in person? In all the pics on here they almost look photoshopped onto the fences/poles.
I'm not saying they are, the shading/shadows etc just don't look natural.

Ok, I was just wondering... something looks funny about them in the pictures. I just couldn't put my finger on it, thanks Michael.

Sounds like the same conversation Cedar Point had with Intamin about TTD only with height and speed. I'm not saying TTD is a bad ride but its not very "original" so to speak.

Yes, did you not see the stick by the track of antique cars? Plus wave swinger is in the path of the new ride.

The removal of Antique Cars is only a rumor that I have previously heard... The removal of Wave Swinger is a new rumor that I have not heard. I know there are flags around Antique Cars, but I haven't seen anything dictating a clear path through Wave Swinger.
On a side note, I would like to see Wave Swinger moved out over water, similar to Indiana Beach.

I haven't heard anything about those trains being uncomfortable at all. The restraint is very similar to California Screamin' at DCA, and they're just as comfortable as any B&M.

I don't believe that.

Dragster is the result of very little land to work with and the amount of money that was able to be put forth into designing and building it. They wanted to go for height and speed and I dont think there were many options they were able to choose from.
Why do you think they went with a hydraulic launch?
Why do you think they went with a vertical 420ft top hat?
A) Fast launch means less launch track needed (aka space) and a hydraulic launch answered that question.
B) 90° Top hat with triangular support design gives best support and takes up little space.
And why do you think they went with a 90° twist on the way up and a 270° twist on the way down and nothing else?
Because they tried to fit in as many elements as they could into the ride with the limited space they were given.
Dragster was thought out over years, not in 3 months. It's just like the 2007 ride. Designing and ideas more than likely began as soon as Dragster was debuted.
