It's called Panoramic Reconstruction or something. You take 3-4 regular pictures and the camera blends them into a perfect panorama.

Is that a webcam I see on Meanstreak's lift? Sweet! Thanks for all the updates Walt. It's nice for all us people who can't get to the park as regularly as you. I can't wait for an official announcement, but it looks like the park is having fun teasing us till then.

i don't think its a webcam. but, i guess it could be. i think i remember that always being there to monitor the lift hill. doesn't magnum have one too?

Almost had it in one, but made two laps. I think the CP&LE platform employees were starting to wonder about me. :)

Yeah, the camera on Mean Streaks lift has always been there, and is a direct feed to the ride op control booth so that they may monitor the lift, and stop the ride if someone decided to stand up or otherwise defeat the safety systems.

As I understand it, there's a time-lapse camera on the construction site. Maybe I took a picture of the wrong one.

Not sure. That one you took a picture of looks like its pointed towards a train on the lift. I was unaware that they had time-lapse camera on the construction site, though. The loose wires would make me believe that maybe that was the right camera afterall.

Walt, amazing photos as usual and spectacular panorama shots as well :). Just wondering though, why do you separate it into two different galleries? Is there something different about each one?

This way you'll be able to pinpoint the exact day you figured out what it's going to be. :)

Each gallery has a 50 photo limit. I took 83 pictures, so that's 50 in one and 33 in the other.

in one of the photos there has to be be 2 dozen footers in a small section........i dont get it

That could be for an area that just needed a lot of support (i.e. high up :)), or for track that crosses over/under itself.

Great pics Walt.....and just so everyone knows, I ran into Tony Thursday while I was heading to the train in FT. He was taking pictures of the site.....so expect to see an interesting blog soon.;)

I didn't actually ask him if he was taking pics for the blog but I did talk to him about my first train on Dragster on opening day. I had talked to him opening day while inline at the Soak City enterance (he was going around talking to everyone in line) and he actually remembered me.:)

I have a feeling that teh T's will announce the new cam soon.
