Uniforms

like lheartTC said, it comes down to money. It is probably cheaper to have of the same thing to make. I miss the the different uniforms as well. I loved the bright jump suits on DT!

I believe it is another charm that CP has lost to the whole corporate thing. That's what I like about some other parks, themed uniforms for different rides or areas.

It was an easy way for me to tell who worked where.
Like at Kennywood, before the new T-shirts, you could easily tell who worked where just by the polo/shorts colors.
I memorized them all, including the long lost parking colors.

Indy's back and just in time.

this year the games department at geauga lake got new uniforms. They used to be like the merch uniforms, and now they're black and white striped shirts.

They're referee shirts... atleast that's what I think of when I see them.

I believe Knott's has a lot of themed uniforms for their rides.

The Xcelerator rideops have something special on as well, but I can't find a picture.

Well, they do call themselves "America's first theme park."

Seriously does it really matter what they're wearing?

Nope, the red and blue uniforms are geeky enough. :)

Why don't we just ask CP themselves? The questions/comments form usually warrants an acceptable answer, in my experience.

What do the games employees wear?

Hey all, I was at Worlds of Fun this weekend and there were new uniforms all around. I'm not sure if they are going to be used at CP, but I sure hope so! The employees were very pleased with them.

So the new uniforms are a more open/breathable fabric, very similar to the uniforms at Six Flags (I worked at SFGAm last year, and while those uniforms were blindingly bright in color, they were comfy to wear). I think Challenge Parks uniforms have been that fabric for a while. It's a simple polo, no pockets, just buttons for the neck. All of them were emblazened with a big "Cedar Fair Entertainment Company logo" on one sleeve. For rides the color scheme is still blue on red, being mostly red with blue stripes on the bottom sides. Both colors are darker/more muted than before. Merch employees had purple with white stripes, although many of the merch that I saw were still in the old uniforms. I think admissions got an update as well. All of them were emblazoned with a big "Cedar Fair Entertainment Company logo" on one sleeve. I did not see any change for sweeps or games.

Girls will be glad to know that the uniforms were the same as the guys' uniforms. Again, this in no way confirms what the uniform situation will be like at CP, but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see these new ones make it up there.

The Cedar Point Uniforms are fairly new as I recall. And I think many employees like them. The girls dont look as attractive when they're wearing guy shirts and shorts. I think the jumpsuits are pretty cool. And so are the guy uniforms.

Ok now this is just off of a facebook group I'm with...I can't confirm that this is exactly what we have, but this is what I would believe is what we are getting...This is all quoted

Word of Advise when PROCESSING IN. Please Read. Those of you processing in soon please be prepared when you go to the Wardrobe Department. This year, Ride ops will be receiving new uniforms all around. The tops will be Polos again, which are red and navy blue and navy blue pants/shorts. First, the polos. They are a new material, which has been used in other uniforms in the past. They are the same material that can be found in the sweeps polo and the Soak City Supervisors polos. The material is much lighter and stretch-ier than the old button-up, which should solve the problem of the top coming un-tucked while working. With the new polos comes the demise of the chest pockets, so now there really isn’t a convenient place for pens like there once was. Now, on to the Pants/Shorts, which are probably the biggest changes to your wardrobe. This year you will have the option to have pants AND/OR shorts, which can be traded in and out at your convenience. They are also fitted, which is a welcome change over the general sizes we had to choose from in years past (No more baggy pants!). However, being fitted will cause a minor inconvenience when you process in and get fitted for the first time. The sizing of the waist is a bit inaccurate and you will find that the sizes run larger than normal. So for example, I am a 34”-36” wait normally and I had to opt with a 38” waist for my wardrobe pants, so be prepared. Also, I have come to notice that many of the pants will only have ONE back pocket, though I have seen some with pocket all around… so it’s inconsistent which you may be receiving.

Here is a picture of from the same post of the uniform
