Yeah, I think so:)

Brian Short, you are right. No one here knows anyone in the Public Relations office like we do. I just got off the phone with my friend Mike who works there. . . it took me FOREVER to get through, because like Brian said, they are APPALLED. They have called an emergency meeting, and they are drawing up plans on what to do next. They know that if they don't make a move in the next 72 hours, the results could just be disastrous, and there MIGHT be a chance that Top Thrill Dragster will have to be dismantled. This is NOT what they want right now. . . trust me.

And I always thought that it was difficult to distinguish sarcasim through a computer.

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!

I refuse to get in a yelling contest over something so trivial. I thought it was funny, in fact, I laughed out loud. If Cedar Point wanted this picture removed, then they would have it removed. Life is short people, get your laughs while you still can. Don't take life too seriously, you'll never make it out alive.

Are you serious? Cedar Point is not going to throw 25 million out the window because of someone's satire. I can't belive I just read that, wow.

I can see Kinzel now planning out the proper way to dismantle the ride because of an Internet prankster.

You obviously have no connections if you honestly belive they would even consider dismantling their next record breaking ride due to something so trivial.

You obviously are very good at detecting sarcasm. You said yourself "You obviously have no connections. . ." -- I made that QUITE obvious. Way to go, skippy.

Goodness, you'd think it was April 1st around here. Of course, if it were, the offseason would be ending that much more quickly.
With people up in such a roar about this it's difficult to tell who is being serious or not. I did not belive Blount was serious until his second post so who knows who is really upset and who is joking. It is very difficult to distinguish sarcasm on the net. My advice would be that if you are using sarcasm in a post to include a ;) next time for us who are bad at identifying it.

I just feel bad for whomever took the picture. You may find it funny. You may find it appalling. Truth is, Cedar Point may not be able to do anything with the picture itself (since it's considered public domain), however their trademark is in the picture and legally, that stacks up to alot of trouble for the makers.

Everyone always wants to complain that everyone on here is wrong. I'm not saying anyone is wrong or right, I'm just stating the obvious implications this may have.

...And that's not sarcasm!!!

All I have to say is comedy gold. Some people get SA and others just dont. All you lawyers and detectives in here need to pipe down and go watch some more law and order or something. And as far as reporting that to CP or whoever, lame, go narc on something else. I find it real funny and yes......im sick. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Im a lurker....

Yeah, you won't be getting any " ;) 's " from me, because that is half the fun, Skippy. So you will just have to deal. Sorry if you can't decipher that "dismantling" a brand new ride was a joke. . .I assumed that was blatently obvious.

And Brian Short, as for the "poor pitiful soul who maliciously robbed Cedar Point of their genteel photograph," its already been decided that not much, if anything, can be done. . .since nothing wrong had passed.

But then again. . .maybe this is all just a big conspiracy started by Cedar Point to get discussion peaked. ;)

Live E...

If you are going to quote me fine, but how bout actually using my words instead of trying to put them in your context. And whoever decided that not much could be done, I doubt that. Since they used copyrighted material of Cedar Point, then a good case could be built against them. As for conspiracy, the PR department is not thrilled with this.

Hmmm...PR = Public Relations = GOOD PUBLICITY.

Skippy -- I made a mistake as anyone could, as you have I 'm sure. Forget about it, move on and quit calling people Skippy, it's anoyying.

O.K. I think that everyone needs to relax. It's hard to believe that a parody site has caused 4 pages of squabbling. (And MY employees thing that I'M highly strung...geeez!)
