Not to mention the e-mail I got from Funtimes today stating the ride was back in operation.

Same here.

I actually saw 2 different TTD commercials yesterday. One of them had footage of the train falling through the drop side that was taken from one of the catwalks. It was very cool :)

Last night TTD was really rocking! We watched it before, during and after the laser light show and they were launching one train after another and they were virtually flying over the top...none of the slow dragging. It appears they are in the final "tweaking" stages now.

Looking at the power tower cam TTD opened right at opening time. I've always seen TTD open around 11 to 12, but it is a little after 10 as of now and the line is PACKED!
What are all those mesquito things on the cam that faces the station? I hope they don't get the West Nile Virus!!

Just got back from CP. after the storm passed they started testing it. and it rolled back a few times.. then they started boarding trains and opened the line.. after about 3 launched trains with riders. it broke, they almost started it 10 minutes later then it broke again.. and 20 minutes after that about 10:50 they announced it would be closed for the rest of the evening ... no passes handed out .. but they did leave MF's line open a little later for us.. when it works it is smooth sailing untill something happens.. it almost seems like the blocking is giving them the most trouble.. just my observation though..

Is the ttd running smoothly? know
Seems like its running pretty well. It is really day to day though, you can never predict it.

From the web cams - it looked like it was down more than up over the last few days. Does anyone have any more details. Is the sled still over heating, or are they still working on that problem. Personally, this latest problems goes to show how sheltered engineers are - 120 MPH, back and forth every 40 seconds, sliding on nylon with no wheels. Where is common sense with these rocket scientists (no pun intended).

no passes?!?!? how long were u waiting? because i was there on last sunday and we got passes for waiting about 4 and a half hours and not being able to ride...

Today they did not open until 6ish. they spent most of the day replacing the sled. it was kind of cool to watch. then it broke down after just 4 trains for another hour or so. then it rolled back alot for about 45 minutes. I was just by the grandstands about 2 hours before it opened. once in the line i was immediatley on the station. and it still took a total of almost 5 hours. with the rollbacks and break downs. when i left it seemed to be running smooth after 7ish.. but what a wait today in the sun..hehe

Wow, some of you guys are crazy. 5 hours for a roller coaster? I am from Michigan and I am going for my first trip in two years, and yeah I want to really ride dragster, but there is no way that I will wait 5 hours for it.
If you are not willing to wait 5 hours for Dragster, then you might as well accept now that you might not get on it.

Keep your arms down, head back, and hold on...

eek. I guess that's all I can say. Well I guess I'll see what happens and hope for the best. Is it really worth a 5 hour wait?
I wouldnt say a ride is running smoothly when the ride cant even run when when its hot outside. Thats its main problem right now, Major overheating. The sled overheats and they have to find a better way to cool it. If they had designed the sled to have some kind of wheels instead of just a piece of metal on a track. Then they wouldnt have this problem.

Anyway, I waited 15 hours total for TTD during my trip. My max wait at one time was 5 hours or so. Though it was long, It didnt seem that long. It was worth the ride though. MF had a huge line as well, So we wanted to get to experience TTD a little more.

Another thing i noticed today was that there is a lot of water in the cable track.. it drips underneath the lauch side track.. and you can even see it in the cable well. if your in the front seat.. maybe this helps keep it cool.. and during rollbacks today the sled returned only after the train was stopped in fron of the bleachers.

Time spent waiting for those rides= 33.5 hours.

Is there a time where Dragster seems to be running smoother then others? We're going to Cedar Point for two days and my plan was to get in line for Dragster at about 7:00 on the first day.

Some days you just have to be lucky.Today I didn't get to the park until about 4:30. TTD had been down most of the day. I rode a few rides including WT and BS when I noticed at around 6:45 they sent a test car that didn't make it to the top. I got up to the line which was back to the control booth

My total wait was 1 hour, including 2 minor breakdowns. The best part was I got my first ride(4 total rides) in the front seat. I was a single rider waiting for the third car and was paired up with a single rider in the first car. Wait time and TTD experience on any given day.... you just never know :)

Yes today was a great day. I got two front seat rides! One during the day and one at night.

It was odd, I had the Nikon with me and I was shooting most of the night after I rode the first time and saw Paul. Then I took the camera around the park and at 10:40 Dragster went down. I thought they just closed the line for the night but anyway I threw the bogen and nikon in the locker and I figured I would wait in line for 15mins and if they didn't open up I would go hit Magnum.

I was very happy to see that they opened the line back up and I only waited about 15mins and I took the right hand side of the ramp and as soon as I walked up they called for a single rider for the front seat, so I got on right away!

Ohh yeah the ride was running a lot smoother than the last few rides I had on it.
