Well you can always do it twice. No harm in that. Only pissing off your employees who will do that stuff for you. Those people are a dime a dozen. Not to mention the money wasted. Nothing bothers me more than being asked to do the impossible. I know if I was asked to paint up there I would give them the finger.
That amount of painting is usually contracted out, I don't think the park's own personnel are involved with the project other then taking bids from several painters.
The repainting appears to last longer because paint is typically applied thicker via roller then with a sprayer. I have seen repaints done using a spray guy on attractions similar to coasters (water slides usually) but the overspray tends to be messier.
I will say after seeing the work Baynum painting did for KI this year, if they got a bid I'd bet they'd do a great job. Bat & Skyflyer look great this season.

Well, it's a good thing the guys who build these rides through the harshest of winters aren't giving anyone the finger...
Ya, they have been up there all day, but they already started putting the Cars on the track so I dont think they are painting.
It's most likely for support inspection. They have a company that specializes in those kinds of inspections and they repeal from cables to inspect the support connections and stuff.

The inside of the platform (the ceiling) was cleaned and repainted in-between weekends during Halloweekends this past season. Look up when you're getting ready to board the trains. It looks great!

I think it was due to the bad winter this year.

Anyone know if the ride will be painted this year? Also, I wonder if Raptor is getting new paint since it seemed to have test pain on it over the season...
Feed the seagulls food dye, it would cheaper....and faster. :)

Yeah really! Anyone else wonder why Raptor is really the only ride that is a victim of the seagull crap? GK, Millennium, etc. all seem to be OK from it.
Birds sit on the other coasters...but then smash...and thats where the "chicken tenders" at the park come from...
