TTD Dreams

Hey, I didn't see a topic about this. . .but if you hate it, I know you can close it.

What are some of the crazy dreams you have had about TTD?

Last night I had the weirdest dream about it. It was a one person ride, and you sat on your knees on a skateboard, and this woman would put her hand over the launch button, and go "Top Thrill Dragster, 3, 2, 1!" and push the button.

Then you would start going down this hill, and there was a series of little hills, then you curved sharply to the left, like a u-turn, went back towards where you came from, went up this little wall, and that is where you were launched at a really high speed.

Then you went backwards through the same U-shape you just came, and went up the hill back to where you started.

But the weird thing was, the first time you rode it, you had to wear this ski-mask thing, and you couldn't see anything. This was because when you were launched backwards, when you came to the curve in the U, people would get "carpet burns" on their face!

But after the first time, you could go without it -- at your own risk.

Hehe I swear I am not crazy, that is my first CP dream though. :)

"Uhhh I don't think my restraint is supposed to move like this. . ."

It's about time for that thorzine big gulp.
I had the weirdest dream like 3 years ago. I was riding Power Tower and for some reason I was in a coaster train instead. Instead of being shot up the normal way, I was being launched vertically up the side of Power Tower. Then, instead of stopping at the 240 height like normal, the train kept going all the way over the 300 ft crest of the Tower and then straight down the other side. What was VERY weird about it was that at that time, i had NEVER seen any kind of rocket coaster in my life. I didn't even know a ride like that existed.

So, when I woke up, I thought about how cool it would be if CP got some kind of giant vertical launching coaster like that. Especially if they built it using Power Tower's stucture.

Then, like a week later, there was a show on tv about the world's greatest coasters and it showed a prototype of that Thrust Air 2000 ride, which (as you know) actually has similar colors and a similar look to Power Tower, except with ony two towers. This amazed the heck out of me! There, right on TV, was the ride I had just dreamt about and had never seen before in my life. NO JOKE.

And now CP has it's very own rocket coaster, which I had wished for 3 years ago. Would've been pretty cool though if they had built it using Power Tower's structure somehow. But then, of course, it wouldn't break the 400 ft mark.

Not really a TTD dream, but still very interesting. Maybe I can tell the future...

I had a dream about Cedar Point last night. Only the dream was that Millennium Force was modified over the offseason, with the island part of the ride compeletely redone, with the overbank removed, and that part of the course lengthened into more flat twists and turns. Also, I remember in the dream that I was told about the ride being redone to make it longer in order to boost the capacity of the ride. If I remember right, they might have also redone or gotten rid of the airtime hills, which if they did in real life would make me very dissapointed.

The dream was weird though, because in it, I was taken along the course of the track in the service vehicle, but backwords, going up the lift hill where the first drop is.

Dr. Freud? What does this mean? :)

I don't recall having any dreams about Top Thrill Dragster yet, but if I am lucky, I might get a realistic one. :)

I actually just had a dream about Dragster last night. It was opening day and the trains just seemed to be flying out of the station and back, literally. There was no track at the peak of both sides of the tower and as the trains would launch up, it'd go off the track and turn in mid air, falling right onto the other side, spiraling down.

The trains had fire coming out of the back on each launch and sounded like real dragsters. I finally hopped aboard and remember thinking how terrifying this thing would be as the train went trackless, and it launched and I had a blast, all 15 seconds. Dragster won't be as scary, but my dream sure did make it so.

I had a dream that my brother new a guy that some how let me ride on the pull through. Only the ride went over the top of the tower and there were alot of loops and underground tunnels. The coolest part was my brother rode with me and he and this little gas powered device that alowed him to control the speed. Then i woke up with a nasty hangover.ughh

Honestly...I've never had a dream about CP! None that I can remember, anyway!

Good grief...I thought I was the only freak that was actually dreaming about this thing! LOL! I've had two already, but haven't actually "ridden" it in my dreams. I've just seen the loooooooooooong lines and the rush of people from the gates to get in line. The first one, I was in line, at night, waiting to get on, when for some strange reason, I had to get out of line (I was bummed). The second, I was sitting in a restaurant with my family, looking out at the queue lines.

Well, I feel much better now! My son thinks I'm a lunatic, and my husband thinks I need therapy or something, but I guess I'm actually "normal"! ;-)

Actually, it's time for some thorzine SUPER Big Gulps.
I had a dream where it did the tophat and then it went into a camelback twist that was 50 feet tall. And then, it had an overbank and stopped at the breaks. But then it would do that thing on oblivion with the hold break and spiraled into the burning pits of heck...
I had a dream about TTD back in September/October. I was going to post about it then but was afraid that i'd get flamed. It started out with me at the park, and some friends and i were watching the construction, but all that could be seen was the massive tower, so i decided to climb up it to see the rest of the layout. when i reached the top, i could see that it was a convoluted and twisted track, i could also see 2 other coasters they were building, one where campers village is now located, i forgot where the third one was going. While i was up on the tower they started testing it(even though the track wasn't finished). In the trains were dummies that looked like my friends. As i moved out of the way of one of the trains i was able to change the center og gravity so much that the tower started collapsing, and i wound up single handedly bringing down the ride. sorry about that everyone :)

i had a dream about the vortex at PKI. i came down the hill and the ride was just a hill and a corkscrew. then we flew onto aome big open dirt plain and slid to a stop, got out and were in the african savanah..............i dunno

i had a dream about a week ago. there were no lapbars and u were launched at 50mph

when you started up the track the train was caught by a chain

the train was pulled up about 200ft before it was launched for a seconed time

this time it was launched 150mph and the final height was over 700ft

it was weird, the trains were 4 deep and 8 wide, the track was red, and the tower looked like the golden gate bridge.

the ride was SCARY and FUN without the lapbars

Do ThEy NeEd ThE lApBaRs?!?!?! LOL

Awww hehe when I posted this, I was half expecting it to be closed. :) But it's nice to see that I'm not the only dreamer! Hmmmm maybe it should be in general so we can hear other crazy CP dreams. They are too entertaining, thorazine big gulps or not. . .

"Uhhh I don't think my restraint is supposed to move like this. . ."

I've had two wild dreams about this ride.

In one of them you were sort of catapulted up the giant tower on a wooden platform thing with no seatbelt :) (I don't really remember this one that well because it happened a long while ago)!

In the other one there were two seperate spikes: one went 120 m.p.h. and twisted 270 degrees while the other went slower and only had a 90 degree twist. Unfortunately, they were not connected at the top by a top hat (obviously). The track was red and it looked the same, just without the top hat.

They were both fun rides overall though, but I hope TTD is better ;)

I had a dream back in October when I first heard about TTD. I was sitting in a train similar to MF's, then I got dragged up a hill (litterally dragged. There were 3 big fat guys with ropes pulling the train up a giant metal ramp) Then the train slid onto the track at the top. From the top of this track, I was able to see the moon quite clearly, and I reached out to it and my hand hit it. Then a voice said, "Be very afriad, because you are riding SooperDooperLooper, the tallest, fastest, longest, funnest, bestest rooler cooster (not a typo) in the universe here at Cedar Point! And then the track rotated 180 degrees like the transfer track on X-Flight at SFWoA and then the seats dropped into an inverted coaster position. The train was then launched in the direction we came up at an incredible speed and then went strait down into a tunnel that went underwater, finally opening up into a huge cavern which turned out to be the Batcave (as suggested by the poles in the corner, the Batmobile, BIG computer, and a strange little butler) I think that was quite possibly the strangest dream I've ever had.

life without danger is a waste of oxygen

I had many CP dreams, but none about TTD.

In one of the dreams, my best friend and I were on MF and it went slowly over the 1st hill. At the bottom, the track was flat. There were these wierd blue monkies standing next to the track and they told us to get off the ride.

Another dream was not at CP,though. I was on the villain at SFWoA and the trains went backwards. The whole ride went really slow because the cars were attached to the chain throughout the ride...

I'm glad there are other coaster dreamers out there.:)

CP Fanatic Forever!!!

Well, while you all seemed to dream good dreams, I dreamed a tragedy. Apperantly, in my dream, each launch had to be launched by NASA since the ride was too complex for anyone else to operate. During one launch, something went wrong, and the entire tower crashed to the ground! I was terrified from the dream. When I flipped on the news that day, I thought I might see a story about TTD falling.

On the flip side, I dreamed that you would board the train at the top of 420 feet. The coaster would launch from the ground, and you'd have to hop in when it passed by. For some reason, nobody ever missed.

Odd that this post is here... just noticed it today. Last night I drempt that I had run through the park to get to TTD, and that the park layout had drastically changed (sky ride went to a different spot mainly). TTD was also a ride containing fast turns and loops and bunny hills, etc. Then when I entered the line, I climbed a ton of stairs, up 400 ft. I believe (couldn't see the ground... it was all cloudy). Then I hopped onto the station, which seemed to be floating, and had to hop across platforms, of which there were no handrails, and even gaps were present in the flooring. At this point I became terrified of heights and froze.

I wonder if the trip to Buffalo Wild Wings last night had anything to do with it. ;)
