I have been looking at the cams periodiclly throught the day and each time I looked it wasn't open.
Let's go straight to the Merry-Go-Round!
From everyone on the CP&LE, RIP Mayor Scott...~

Silver means management, because they wear silver name badges. In your case, security had no right to do that and was changing park op policy on the spot.
Now imagine if they had let you in immediately, and some random guest saw you "cutting" in line and decides to try to do it themselves without a freeway stamp (or worse yet somebody along the fence chooses to make a big issue about it). Now the ride op has to explain the situation to the people who are causing the issue and that just backsup the entrance even more; adding to the confusion, and permitting more people the opportunity to cut in line while the ride op is distracted dealing with the upset guests.
So, to make life easier for everyone involved, just wait in the line along the fence until you get to the entrance. At that point you will be allowed up the freeway lane. Don't worry about the extra wait. You still are "cutting" infront of all those people who you were behind because you have a straight shot to the ramp while they have to zig zag through the queue.
Is that 5 to 10 minutes really that critical? You still are getting a shorter wait time. And that is the true purpose of freeway, to shorten your wait time, not to ensure you are the first person on the ride when it opens back up.
The moral of the story: Next time you're at the entrance of Top Thrill Dragster, give the ride op there a hug...they more than likely need it. (Of course ask first) :) *** Edited 6/29/2004 1:32:33 AM UTC by Purdue University Engineer***

than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
the trains are on today but I have'nt seen ANY movement. No employees, lines, etc. Is this the 3rd day now..from what was supposed to be a small mechanical issue? Oh great:)
In light of the Dragster issues (although better this year) and with the pending seat belt issue, I think we all should really start hoping for a B&M coaster. Hopefully all these intamin problems will inspire CP to change it up a bit and give us a new b&m..atleast that's my take:-D
Just please god let them have that thing fixed by tomorrow :-)
I understand what you are saying, but if you had have seen the line that was waiting to get in the queues, you would understand. They were farther back then I could see, and if I would have had to wait in the whole line, it would have been a little more than "5-10 minutes", and if I had not seen my friend in line, I wouldn't had even bothered.
Even if the wait time to get in the queue was only an hour (which I'm sure it wasn't) the purpose of the free-way system would have been totally lost considering I spent an hour in the Free-way line to get the stamp.
Also, with the amount of people that they actually let in the queue line, I would not have passed all of the people that "zig-zag" through the queues because there are not enough people to fill a whole "zig-zag". (How many times have you heard on this site "after I entered the queues, I only waited 10 minutes"). -- My point exactly.
So I surely hope that they have fixed the problem, which it sounds like they have.
Oh and BTW, currentlydowntofillintheblank, the time on my hand was indeed the time that I tried to enter the queue's.

It would have been at least a two hour wait outside the queue. If it was 5-10 minutes, then of course I wouldn't have jumped in line. The only reason that I did is because I had my stamp and they refused to let me use it, my stamp was from 3-4, and it was only open from 3-4:30. If I would have gotten in the back of the line at 3:10 when I entered, I would have wasted another hour and a half of my time standing in line, and no ride. I waited an hour and a half that morning.
I do in fact know the purpose of freeway, you did not have to explain it to me. The line was backed up almost to the ENTRANCE OF THE PARK. I am there faithfully every Sunday, I have had many FW stamps. It's not like I am a first timer.
Moral of the story: I am not going to give a stranger a hug, especially when they don't follow the park's rules. And it wasn't the ride op, it was the guard. I see that you didn't throughly read my post or you would know this already.
And Topthrill420, I asked because I had a stamp once from 6-7. It was down at 6 due to wind, so I waited in the tester seat. I was still there at 7:05 when they opened it, and I couldn't use it. That I understood. I was even BSing with the employees the whole hour. I didn't care, I understand their rules, and boy is that tester seat cozy! At least I wasn't standing for that entire hour! I was just wondering if your situation was the same. ;)
