TTD Closed Again??

I wonder, if TTD goes down and it rolls over your time, do you get to use yours the next hour (or during the hour which it opens) or are you just assed out and can't use your free-way at all.

I had one from 3-4, It was broke down at 3, so I waited in the test seat, because it was only down due to high winds. I was chatting with the employees in line, and I asked them if it opened at 4:01 could I still use it. He said that they don't allow that, and they would turn me away at the FW stamp entrance. It opened at 3:45. I guess I was lucky!

That's kinda screwy, I mean it would be one thing if they were open and you got there late, but if they are down for maintenance/repairs for your hour thats stupid that you can't use the stamp.

I agree, especially for the simple fact that I was sitting there waiting, and willing to take that chance.

When I was at the park monday night, when mf came back from its couple hour downtime they were allowing fast passers with times during downtime onto the ride. The fast pass line was out past the lockers. It was down for maybe 3-4 hours. Maybe they aren't suppose to do that, I don't know, but they did.

I confirmed from my magic 8Ball this morning and I asked, "Will Top Thrill Dragster Open Today?" I shook it and it said, "Not Likely". ;)

If anyone noticed, its July 15th, at aroun 12:55pm and If the TTD webcams on Cedarpoint.com are up to date, then every train is on the track, and the Holding tracks are Empty.... What's going on beats me.

Well, on Saturday there was a separate Freeway line outside the entrance only about 20 people long. That night they made us wait in the regular line to use Freeway, so we didn't use our tickets then. On Sunday, we were going to get a stamp, and they said they weren't giving them out today. Does anyone know why they wouldn't?

It is nearly 4:00p.m. and it looks like dragster is re-opening as we type. wow.. fast investigation.

A quick look at the web cams, there's trains in the station and ride ops. on the station platform, but no riders in line. (the station web cam dose have the current time and date, so I'm quessing it's online).

I would be so surprised if this thing opens tomorrow. That was one quick investigation. I can't imagine they have done any big repairs on the ride in such a short amount of time. Perhaps it was just a minor problem after all...a minor problem that caused a major breech of safety.

Intamin was there yesterday (according to a few news reports) If it were just the cable that needed replaced, I wouldn't counsider it a big repair, they have experience with replacig the cables :rolleyes

Just checked the web cam and it looks like they are testing the trains with the water torsos in the seats. That has got to be a good sign!!

I never actually saw people in the load station but some on this site say it was open today. That was at about 12:30. I just checked the cam and if it was open it didn't take long for it to break down again (surprise surprise) because it looks like a ghost town on the platform at 2:30. Not even ride ops are up there. Does anyone know if it really was running today? If so that was one hell of a fast investigation.

I saw the cam earlier this morning around 11:00. I also called Cedar Point's hotline and they said it would be open with possible short delays.
