The rollback was awesome :D
I'd like to see a picure or something of the Dragster Ride op booth and that touch screen LCD mounted on the wall. I wonder what information is shows, and how many different buttons are on the contorl panel, lol.

Rollbacks - 1 - Opening Day 2005
Last TTD train of the night (6-23/24).
Dragster's main control panel (OP 1) has:
The touch screen can tell you everything you could possibly want to know about how the ride and the crew are performing...unfortunately you need to know the individual sensor code lines and be able to interpret the voltage readings. So basically, only the park's electricians are truly able to fully utilize the touch screen. The crew just uses it to monitor logic faults, train positions, launch system variables, and operator delays. But for those of us who were willing to explore the program's I/Os, that screen provided fascinating information.

TTD was up for most of the day, Monday May 10, with the occasional rollback.
The one thing I noticed (probably contributing to its reliability) is the brake fins on the launch track are rising slower after the train passes, not the BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! of previous visits- thus cutting down on the wear & tear which probably caused more of the malfunctions.
But that's just a theory of mine...
Monday May 10th, really?
The brake fins are doing the same as they did last year.
I have some picture of a obvious change to the trains, I'll post them later, but I'll just give you guys a chance to see if you noticed too.

I noticed the change the moment i seen it. Boy they really got rid of all the extras on it but i guess safety first hint look at the nose of the train.
Below is a picture of the new nose. They covered the hole where the front spoiler once was. CP is doing a great job at bringing the theming back. ;)

How is it bringing the theming back if they cover the hole where the spoiler was? Wouldn't putting the spoiler back on be a better example of bringing the themeing back?

You missed the wink at the end of his post, Jugga...
It's lookin' like a perfect weather forecast (for resort guests, anyway) for this weekend. Chance of rain each day.

Why did they take those off anyway? I mean, I know a tire flew off or something, but you'd think they'd be able to keep the theming firmly attached the same way they keep you attached...
The theming wasn't able to get at least an inch of dead strap on the end of the seat belt........

I know a new feature on Dragster for 2005, a new rude employee named Tamika, She feels free to lecture and yell at any guest of shows up for thier Freeway stamp ride at the end of the hour. It was 8:55 pm and my friend and I had a stamp for 8-9. She yelled at us to be more earlier with our stamps... Yea, maybe if dragster is running!!!! We also had another stamp for the same time on Millennium, we got to TTD at 8:00 to ride but it was down, so we went to millennium force to get our ride there, so we had enough time to still get on dragster, so just beware of her, I already sent in a complaint to Cedar Point. I always enjoy the park with no problem so its just sad to break that after three years of going.
"If it looks good, you'll see it; if it sounds good, you'll hear it, if it's marketed right, you'll buy it; but... if it's real, you'll feel it."
I was at the park the 8,9,10,11. On the 9 their were a couple of times I noticed that it was broke down with one train in the launch position and the other train half in the station and half on the pre-launch.
But it was nice on Tuesday 10 because their was absolutely no line in the afternoon, they were telling people that they couldn’t wait for the front seat and made them fill in the empty train.
Wow Big Jon, those are perfect conditions. I wish I could get a day like that with absolutely no line.

Man hearing all of these breakdowns I hope this year turns out good like 04,(id have to say the best year so far for TTD). I also hope that with all these fins we dont have another huge problem like 03 , im not sure but I think it was the fins or hydraulics. But im keeping my fingers crossed and know Cp will do a good job. Oh and since we were talking about TTD control panel does it display the trains weight, or is that whole thing about weighing the train so the computer knows how much power it needs to launch the train. Sorry im not to sure about that and never asked anyone who knew.
I'm pretty sure the trains are not weighed.
I believe the only ride in the park that weighs the guests is Power Tower. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
TTD doesn't weigh the trains. It changes launch speeds according to the speed of the previous launch.

Ya know I am a huge fan of CP, But, I am officially over TTD. It is such a great ride but it's downtime is just too much, It is closed again today. I was planning on spending the day there and getting some laps in on TTD.
I hope I dont tick anyone off in here I am sure that I am though. But it is rediculous how much this thing is broke. sorry just my opinion.. and I have been a season pass holder for over 20 years. I spend a lot of time there so I have a right to complain now and then..
Coasterguy you do have the right to complain. For the kind of money they spent on that thing it should work.
