With Kingda Ka being opened this year have there been any changes to TTD? Like have the tallest and fastest coaster signs been taken down? What about the "Sunday Sunday Sunday" recording?
Just wondering.
THanks
I was looking at peoples pictures from yesterday.

This sign is still up.
October 13 - Finally!
Top Thrill Dragster - 15
Millennium Force - 15
Still has roll-backs and down-time... nothing new there. But I was still able to get two rides in yesterday.
You would think that after a few years the down time would be a little bit more under control...
Cedar Point - An adventure waiting for everyone.
They had some lengthy downtown around 11 or so on Saturday. Guess they were having some problems with the new blocking system.
I noticed they didn't have a problem with rollbacks.
I think with a little tweaking, they'll get this thing running well this year. I'm feeling optimistic :)
I was in the station around the 11 AM breakdowns. The first one appeared to be problems with the launch track brake fins, and when it went down a few minutes after that, I saw them go out and replace several sensors in the launch area.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Yeah, the guy ran out and fixed that brake fin pretty fast. But they were still having a problem with some of the blocking system.
Bad proxy maybe.
They were down today for an extended amount of time I believe. I had better things to do today than wait in line for TTD. Plus, they didn't do Freeway or at least I didn't see it. :(
Yes, smoke effects and tower lights are still used. The problems on Sat were all in the same area of the track. Right past the grand stands, but before the entrance. I'm not sure what it was...a sensor issue or brake fin. But when it broke around 8 PM, it set off red flashing lights in the control room so I think it was more then just a sticky brake fin. (I don't think the ride control system would be *that* picky)

Rollbacks - 1 - Opening Day 2005
Last TTD train of the night (6-23/24).
Actually any small error like a sensor not catching the fin location (completely up or completely down) can and will set off a fault light

Kingda Ka isn't open yet, and CP will push those signs to the very last second.
The "World's Fastest" signs will probably be there for the entire season. When Kingda Ka is in the Guinness Book, that is the time I would bet that CP takes the signs down.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
And 99% of the world doesn't care one way or another anyway.

Hey Everyone! Kyle, it was nice to get to meet you on Sat night!........also Hi to oldcper? i think she said was her username.....Dragster had problems all throughout the day unfortunatly, but it was worth the wait as always.....Kyle....how'd you like your 1st rollback??? Pretty cool ehhh?? Anyone know exactly what is on that LCD screen in the control booth? It seems like that is the heartbeat of the Dragster. Anyhow.....I am very very anxious to see how Kingda Ka performs.......I have mixed emotions on the whole thing. I am bitter to the fact that CP was their test dummies for 2 years, and they probably will have all of the kinks worked out....but half of me hopes it works well, and the other half hopes they have the problems we have too. What do you guys think?
"Welcome back Gemini riders, how was that ride!?!?!" 28 years of excellence! (I am the guy in green & blue stripe shirt in my pic on TTD)
