Well if they were to build a coaster and add a flat ride, there will be more people in that area of the park.
Not really because you still have Frontier Trail which is home to Millennium Force and you have The Top Thrill Dragster midway, which has several rides including Top Thrill Dragster, Magnum, Power Tower, etc. If you've ever played RCT, when you build something new the guests start flocking towards the new rides. In this case, this is reality, there are so many coasters at Cedar Point, that there would still be a good size crowd for Dragster and Millennium Force. You just wont have to fight to get through the crowds because part of the crowd is in the back.
I'm still trying to figure out why these pieces of wood (for the floor boards, the marina, or CCMR) would be so early. Pieces maXair didn't arrive until early Jan. 2005. Why would the themeing be here, before the actual ride is? If it were for CCMR, they don't do those type of things until the winter has gone by. The marina idea makes sense, but it seems like it would be a different type of wood though. I'll be waiting another 6-8 weeks for the annoucement though.

It would seem logical that the wood could be used for altering the CCMR ramps, since the area appears to have some serious changes in store for it sometime in the future...
Another blog entry could only mean one thing ... more (stupid) complaints by enthusiasts!
Aw, c'mon Walt - we all know that the blog is put there just for us enthusiasts! ;)

I think the wood is simply for the new off ramp for CCMR, with the Extreme Swing going in between CCMR and SRF. I agree with www.thepointol.com
WWL site will have a fence around it with a new coaster going there in 2007. I don't think there are any clues for anything else, but if there is something else, I just hope Soak City gets some new attractions. There's been so many new water park attractions introduced in the last few years, and Soak City has very few of them, if any.
I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT WOOD IS FOR THE MINE RIDE !!!!
Wood is stored by the wood coasters. That lumber is more than likely used for landscaping!!!!! Most of the rebar will be used for midways.
Most of the rebar will be used for midways.
Not likely. When pouring roads, paths, driveways, etc., it is much more common (as well as practical) to not use rebar. The strength is overkill, and the labor required to install it is inefficient.
Instead, they use a fence-like material. Sort of an industrial-grade chicken wire that is layed down and tied together to create a large blanket of reinforcement. Then concrete is poured over it.

Settle dahn Juniah.
The wood could be used for just about anything. As could the rebar. You are probably right about the wood not being used for CCMR, but at this point there really is no telling. There may not have been enough room by CCMR to store the wood, so it was easier to leave it in the parking lot. The rebar would be used for any concrete that is poured in the park, so it could be a midway, a platform, or a footer (yes, even flats have footers). Most of that rebar could also be used to pour footers for a 2007 coaster.
At this point (with nothing having happened yet) there's no telling what "Most of..." anything could be used for.

Yes that is true. I am familiar with construction. What else would they use all that rebar for? I know some of it is for foundations and footers.
What else would they use all that rebar for?
Umm... Foundations and footers?

Footers aren't just the 2 feet you see above ground, they are the 5-10 feet below ground as well. It can take little bit of rebar to reinforce a cylinder 3 feet in diameter and 7 feet tall.

Now since we're talking so much about the area of White Water Landing, I think that area could be used for the new water coaster or water ride. Although I prefer to see a B&M Floorless. A lot of us have forgotten about Demon Drop. Whats going in Demon Drops former spot? More games, more food restuarants, a new ride? I know no one knows, but I'm thinking whatever we get in 2007, we could be getting something brand new in that area as well. Who knows maybe after the 2006 season, maybe that will be Disaster Transports last year to make way for another coaster.
The wood color is the same or close to the CCMR. If it were a new coaster, I really think we would have seen some type of construction or land clearing by now. If the wood is not for CCMR, then it's for something close to it...a fence, a tunnel, the waiting area for the Screamin Swing, etc.
In one of their blog responses: "We will personally be taking care of the webcams".
Blame them for the webcam conspiracy theory! ;)
Well, im going with everybody else's guess, and saying the wood is for CCMR, and then they might tear down the old Frontier Lift Station, and move the CCMR exit ramp, like everyone before me supposes.....and clearing WWL for a flying in 2007...but as with all of you, I hope they fit in with the Frontier theme back there....
As the recent blog states......more "contests" coming soon...could this mean they are going to let the GP pick the name of the Screamin' Swing??....I think a lot of parks are letting the GP pick the names in the past couple of years.....
I think.... that letting... people pick the name... would be a really.... really.. cool thing... to do.
I find it somewhat odd that Tony & Tyler have been MIA this week, except for the announcement of the winner. I would have thought they'd be more active, considering this is closing weekend and all.
Hmmmm...
