While it definitely sounds like the park was mobbed, wasn't Mean Streak's queue significantly reduced after the addition of the maze in the ride's infield? While a line spilling out the entrance is still long, it isn't nearly as long as it was when the entire queue (which I remember as being massive) was in place.

Most of the original queu is gone but since what's left of the line goes far back through the structure to get to the station spilling out into the midway is still quite a long line in comparison to the usual. That's still about an hour compared with 10 minutes or less most days.
