Now now Dan. You know it's for the best that you don't work there. How would you get all your Mangnum rides in if you had to work? hehehe
Also, I've always viewed it as the whole "you don't eat at a reasturant you work at" kinda thing. Once you work there, the place takes on a different look.

As for what to do when you're off, first of all, you won't be off that much! You really do work a lot of hours, so time off isn't exactly plentiful. Of course there are the basics: laundry, exchange uniforms, take a trip to Meijer for food, actually get off point for a few hours... You can always go in the park, which you might really enjoy since you'll be working in Soak City, not actually in the park. There are employee events off and on (I have quite a few detailed on my website - check it out!), and local merchants (the mall) offer some discounts to CP employees. CP has a bus that will take you to the mall/Meijer a couple times a day, so if you don't have a car you can still get around a bit. Just enjoy yourself! :)

during hours off, I suggest napping extensively.
Are there any kind of dance clubs near CP?
Not real sure, not my kinda thing. But as CrystalKat said, you won't have alot of time off, and once the season gets going, a Friday or Sat. night off is almost unheard of. This all, of course, depends on your zone sup and other various things like where you are working and that area's needs.

There is a dance club in the Clarion Hotel at the Rt. 250 and Rt. 2 interchange. I forget what the bar is called. There is also Nick's Roadhouse in Port Clinton, about 20 - 25 min. west of CP.
FOrgot all about Nick's... And there is always the multitude of clubs at The Flats in Cleveland.

I'll disagree Red Garter Rob..it is after I worked there that the love for the park has grown.
Well it's a person to person thing I think. There is a palce here in Toledo that has a bar and killer game room attached to it's main bar and reasturant. I've been going there since 1986 whenever I've lived in town (3 years for the AF) and I've seen so much and know how things are that I could never work there. Would take away from the enjoyment factor I Have when I'm there.
Again, it's a personal thing. Who knows.. I could work CP and love it more too. My sister (1 season) is pretty indifferent towards the park.

Do they tell you about future attractions. And do you ever get a chance to ride the rollercoasters or rides.
Hello there, Jordon. My name is Matt Gould. Now, I know that this is my first summer at the point, but I can answer your questions. First off, Cedar Point announces future attractions to the public on a certain day. However, some of the "higher ups" will tend to leak information to most all employees in the park. Second, as a sweep, I may be called on during the season to "test ride" a certain coaster, such as Millennium Force. I may also be able to, as all other employees have the chance to do also, ride after hours. I hope that helped.
