This is "Maverick"...

@ Jasson Hammon

Im still hoping for an extension.. But guess im SOL :P.

Ive been thinking the ride could go round the other way because ive never seen a rollercoaster with an S-turn right after the launch. Whilst looking at the turns and such im not sure anymore; good thing CP is known off doing unpredicted things. :).

Well, it could very well launch into an OB turn over the pond, and then hit the S-turns, etc.

I think your right on DJ those s-turns, in my opinion, would be no fun at the end of the ride they are way too big.

At the end when the ride is slowing down you want the turns tighter.

Fantastic job on the video BGRooDOg

I like it good job, and I love the music of Muse "Knights Of Cydonia"

Exactly. Hence the relatively small inverted elements after the turns, in my opinion.

Very nice mockup!

I also agree with invertigo in that I hope Maverick doesn't turn out like that. It seems a lot like Storm Runner at Hersheypark which is a really crappy coaster.

the most important question: how fast did you set the coaster in able for it to go smoothly through the transitions. this will give us an idea how fast this coaster will be...

Lets just hope it isn't stormrunner. I hate that coaster. It flat out sucks.

oh by the way, nice video.

I have one kind of off topic. but it's still on cedar point.

This is totally off topic too, but some people have decided that Project 2007 is already the second best coaster at Cedar Point at one website.

http://www.coastergrotto.com/park.jsp?argId=16

how could they decide that?

Here are some of the specs that some of you have been asking. The launch only brings you to 48MPH, but when you enter the first turn speeds increase to about 60MPH. You are also pulling around 3G's in each of the banked turns. The bunny hill (which shows as just under 80Feet in No Limits) slows the train to about 20MPH, and you get -1.5 Vertical G's. By this time, when you hit the Zero-G Rolls, you are slow enough to where they do work. At the peak of the first on you are only around going 40-45MPH and my statistics almost show all 0 G's across the boards. And the second is about 40MPH, with the same abount of G's as the first.

Some of you saying you dont like the launch hill... Im right there with you. But I needed something believable to start off... or I could not run a simulation. It will be changed when that part is in place.

Oh well, I was hoping to at least hit 80mph (would keep in the succession 0f magnum, ______, millenium force, and top thrill). Maybe the second launch will hit 75mph? :)

Wow, I posted this on Here, and CoasterBuzz and just wow... I have already reached over 1,000 Views on Youtube in less than 13 Hours! These sitse have such a big influence! But I find it strange that no one has rated my video or left any comments (except 1) :(

I think your going the wrong direction

I did a bit of "research" myself of the construction of MF and TTD. As you notice with Intamin track, there are "male" and "female" ends to the track pieces.

The track direction is determined by the male-female orientation. The male end it always pointing in the direction of travel (EXCEPT for impulses, for obvious reasons).

Based on this, I'm 99% sure that he has the direction correct, and we will be going through layout thus far as -esses-hill-inversion-inversion-.

Hey BRGooDog, I am currently making a mock up on no limits, everything is scaled to the approx. footage, I have even included the swan pond section, so i was wondering is the Fraps program you used free, and do you have to become a member of you tube to upload video?

You have to register to use youtube. It is a free service, and your videos have to be less than 100MB and less than 10 minutes long.

You have to be a member to upload on Youtube, but its free. And the Fraps Program is free as well (for the most part). I have a registered copy. If you want, I have AIM and can guide you through. SN = SoCoMRooDoG
