Drawing conclusions out of thin air is completely ridiculous. If you want to make guesses, knock yourself out if they're based on some kind of actual, logical evidence, but just because you find some completely unattributed video on YouTube doesn't mean anything. I mean, when people can upload complete nonsense like this, you shouldn't exactly consider YouTube as something that will expose the Kennedy Assassination conspiracy or find Jimmy Hoffa.
---------------------------------------------
WOW! you people should step it back a notch :)
As you can see the title i wrote for this thread doesn't say "Project 2007 revealed" or somthing like that - i only thought the clues and pics of the construction site we have seen so far match to what's shown in this clip.
Looks like i'm not the only one too.
The fact that the clip is on youtube doesn't make it more or less legit! It looks a lot like other preview animation renderings we all got to watch of other coasters.
In fact,i do think it is a legit preview someone got/snatched from someone in contact with port aventura.
I also think the CP version of the ride won't be exact copy - but i can't see a reason why a very similar design would not go both to CP and spain - it won't effect any "coaster war" of any kind.
If this is the new coaster design/concept intamin is putting out,it make good sense CP won't be the only park to have it.
look how many parks in europe got a scaled down TTD version these days.
still, this is all good, fun, guessing game.Don't get so serious about it all.
i think jeff is just mad we all know his big secret ;)

Oh and Coasterfan82, Jeff knows what this ride is.
If he does know what the ride is then he will not post anything at what so ever. As the saying says goes "those who know, dont talk"

Regarding launch vs. lift hill...
IF Project 2007 is launched, it will most likely be a consideration of the space required for a lift hill.
Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster featured launches because of the specific nature of the rides (back and forth, 120 mph speed).
Unless CP wants to build a bigger and better SheiKra, what lift hill element is left for them to achieve?

All that means is that people who know, don't go around and say "nah nah nah nah nah... I know and you don't!!"
It doesn't mean that the people who know can't have a little fun with those who are clueless.
Besides, I never saw anyone claiming to know what the ride is, not even Jeff. You just assume that he knows and is holding out on you to ruin your day. Give me a break.

Exit, the very person you are responding to claims to know. Infact, I remember a recent series of threads Coasterfan82 posted in, and was claiming to know. This is also evident in their signature. *** Edited 6/7/2006 4:32:11 PM UTC by Coastern3rd***

Paradroid[DK] Said:[/DK]Nobody need to tell us, that only the top of Cedar Point knows what Project 2007 is - That is obvious to every sane person, of course. Let people speculate if they want to for crying out loud. Or should we just keep talking about 500 ft., 15-loopers or lake-tube-dives?
No One is sayong that you can not speculate, we are just saying for ya'll to stop saying your 100% correct that this is what the new coaster is. There is nothing wrong with saying i think, or i wish, but to say im right or this is that is what is bugging the heck out of alot of us.
Also, how does something somewhere else have ANYTHING to do with CP? I mean come on people get real just beacuse one parks doing something dosen't mean that CP is doing it.
Allow me to repeat myself:
1) I´m saying this is the best bet so far (the clues taken in consideration). Best bet does NOT equal 100% sure. See the difference? Go quote someone who actually SAY that it´s a 100% certain...
2) I´m not saying that what is going on in a european park has something to do with CP, but it is a new style of train, and there´s a possibility that those could be used on the new coaster for ´07 (sidewindin´, 2+2, bla bla bla). What is the problem here? This is just speculation and guessing. Nothing wrong with that. NO one says it´s official, jeesh, didn´t you read my post? I thought I made myself clear enough... (apparently not)

I think everyone just needs to take a nice, long, deep breath. Repeat several times. Please.
The video is completely arbitrary, and doesn't necessarily indicate what CP is or isn't getting. It could very easily be exactly what they're building, and it could just as easily not even be close.
If you read Jeff's posts carefully, he's taking issue with drawing conclusions based on non-facts, that's all. As such, whether or not he knows what is being built is completely irellevant to this "discussion". What is relevant is that his point is correct - drawing conclusions (either way) is neither accurate nor wise, at this point, unless someone sweet talks Monty into Xerox-ing some blueprints. ;)
The bottom line is that we won't know until later on in the summer whether or not this, or any other guess, is accurate or not. So, enjoy the speculation, ponder the possibilities and discuss what may or may not be. Don't get caught up in arguments regarding the validity of guesses, or whether or not he knows this or she knows that.
In my opinion, this video is extremely interesting, at first glance. I will say that my jaw dropped when I first watched it. However, after a few minutes spent pondering the source, material and what-not, it became obvious to me that the primary reason this video seems so interesting is the color of the track. That's because that is all we really have to go on at this point. So, would I be surprized to see this coaster show up in FT? Nope. Would I be surprized to see another completely different coaster show up in FT? Nope. But, this coaster is a considerable possibility, in my opinion.

No offense to DJ, but Jeff pretty much said the same thing and you guys are running around patting DJ on the back as if it was a different, clearer statement. Do you guys tune out or something when Jeff posts?
No one should have to break down a post for you or tell you to read carefully so that you get the idea the first time...
yes, I'm very cranky today. *** Edited 6/7/2006 6:28:34 PM UTC by Coastern3rd***
None taken. I was just trying to reiterate what was already said, because I'm virtually invisible (and thus, neutral) to most. Plus, I think the wording of Jeff's post can putt some people off, if they don't know how to read between the lines.
Brandon
Read between the lines? Just read the lines! I don't candy-coat anything or speak in riddles. I put it out there in the most simple terms I can!
I didn't say whether or not I knew anything. I'm not talking either. The only thing I remember saying was a couple of months ago that I figured enthusiasts might be disappointed with the ride. That was only my opinion, and still doesn't indicate one way or another what I might or might not know.
So let's review. The only things we can really be reasonably sure of is that:
1) It's Intamin because there's Intamin track at the park.
2) It's red, because there's red Intamin track at the park.
3) It's going to be in Frontier Town, because they're pouring footers all over the place.
The rest is just silly conjecture based on desire, fantasy and kitty porn on YouTube.

I love the kitty porn take on it, WOW, rake'em
(in a sarcasm voice) It's gonna be an Intamin?

Ride-on
I think the problem is that everyone tries to read between Jeff's lines. They think he's throwing in some secret meaning or conspiracy theory with his posts and thats what causes these kind of mis-understandings.
That or noobs see Jeff and skip the post thinking there's nothing but angry drivel thats meant to hurt or maim.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Clearly, since Jeff posted the link to the adorable little kitty video and since of course he's the know, reading between the lines will show that Wildcat is being removed and a laptop store called "Cattitudes" is being put in its place. The track and footers is there to throw us off. DUH!!

Yeah. A few enthusiasts are already disappointed that the manufacturer is Intamin or the color of the track is red ;)
Or maybe the disappointment is the fact that Cedar Point has replaced a family water ride with yet another roller coaster. I don't believe that to be considered an enthusiast, you always want white-knuckle thrill rides no matter what the cost is.
^ There are two other water rides. But I do understand what your trying to put across.
