These trains would definitely make the ride unique at Cedar Point, as it would offer a different ride experience that couldn't be found on any of the current coasters. They also may be capable of doing some unique moves, say a 180 degree inline twist while the train is moving on a 90 degree banked track section flipping the riders under the track to above the track, if you kind of can visualize that.
Don't know if i follow u there bud...If you could clarify it that would be great because it sounds interesting!!!
I ride the coaster in my white tee...
maybe they are finally going to try the steam launch system, used on the aircraft carriers. and i dont understand why they havent built a coater with supermans design?? and how about that x thing sixflags has with the spinning suspended seats on the sides?? i know cedar point could improve on both of these designs!

An aircraft carrier launch system is completly out of the question in my opinion. Superman- 415ft., 100mph, TTD- 420ft., 120 mph. TTD is way better than Superman. The X design is already being discussed except without the rotating seats. The non-spinning seats are known as Wingwalkers.

New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
yea it looks boring, just like hydra at dorney they just built last year......sucks......bad.....floorless coaster...ooooo floorless = boring and i think this wingwalker design looks boring. i do like the superman design, and laying down, it just of course its six flags, and its slow, but a cedar point version of it, could be out of this world...

I don't think it has ANY relevence to CP's 2007 project. Again, this could be a very, very poor case (but shining example) of looking way too far into these "clues" and getting worked up over nothing.
Just because Cypress Gardens is building a wooden coaster for 2007 doesn't mean CP is, nor does what is happening in Europe mean CP will follow suit.
MF and Maggie are both great coasters with the 48 inch height requirements. Only time will tell.

"Just because Cypress Gardens is building a wooden coaster for 2007 doesn't mean CP is, nor does what is happening in Europe mean CP will follow suit."
I don't think anyone has even said that CP was building a wooden coaster since at least a month and a half ago...and even then, most people thought we'd be getting another steel one.
Last public train of 2005 on MF!
For the love of GOD would you guys quit talking about different types of track? Every ride Intamin builds is different, and there's no particular ride, save for Impulses, that use the same type of track every time.
Stop it. Stop it. Stop it.
No one knows as of now what kind of coaster Cedar Point is getting.I was at the Q&A at CoasterMania and was told that sometime in august they will let the public know the name and what kind of coaster they are building. All everyone knows is that it will be a steel coaster.
Actually, they said "later this summer," not sometime in August. Mr. Kinzel said late August during the press conference call for the acquisition of the Paramount Parks.

Visualize these trains on the track heading in a straight line. The track then twists 90 degrees clockwise causing the riders on the right side to be lowered while causing the 2 riders on the left side to rise. After a few seconds of traveling the train then enters a 180-inline twist, rotating clockwise again. This would cause the 2 riders in the lower spot to be rotated upwards while the 2 riders in the higher spot are rotated downwards.
I was just thinking that if an element like this would be performed over a body of water, almost grazing the water, it would add a little visual thrill factor with this style of train design.

Uhm, nobody's said that here (At least on this page...) We've said they wouldn't surprise us, they'd make the ride unique, etc...
Here are some of the things im talking about...

Amazing if a videoclip can turn the crowd But I still think CP´s Windwalker (I´m pretty convinced by now) will differ MUCH from PortAventuras, and not just be a launch-turnaround-slow zero^g-brakes. Well, let´s see what happens...

It will be launched.
Lakeland05 Said:
They are not going to put in another launch coaster in.... it would be the third one in a row. The technology for TTD is unrealiable, Wicked Twister has problems now and then... and that also takes a lot of electricity for that technology as well. So there is going to be no launch coaster. I wouldn't count on it.

Ben's right, it will launch...at some point in the ride.
These are examples of what im talking about, like i said before, I'm sorry it's just a pet peav of mine.

I swear to God, I'm waiting for someone to find a video of a bird taking a crap on a garbage can at Cedar Point and someone making the point that the new ride will be a bird themed coaster over a land fill.
Honestly, how the hell do you come to the conclusion that some crappy ass animation online answers anything?

Well seeing as we aren't in the know like you, what else do we really have to go on? Other than their goofy signs, the pics of the footers and the pics of the staging area, this video seems to add a lot to the puzzle, IF it is legit. Anyone with some computer skill can come up with something like that if they put their mind to it. I know people shouldn't go to Vegas and put money on the design just by seeing the animation, but it's more than we have from anywhere else.
If you ask me though, what is in the video looks way too big and spaced out to fit in that little bit of room back there.

...OR you can come to the obvious conclusion that this has absolutely NOTHING to do with Cedar Point's coaster. Did you all buy Jump-to-Conclusions mats or something? Seriously, use some freaking logic backed up with some RELEVANT information in your speculation.

You should not swear to God its bad. Please do not give people ideas Jeff, about a bird taking a crap.

It does not answer nothing but it would be cool to have ride like that but hey who cares just wait for them to let the cat out of the bag. People keep posting your ideas but do not go over board on track types and other stuff.

If you don't think that there's a big possibility that the video could be a preview of what's next for Cedar Point then you are just being oblivious to what's going on.
All the facts point to a coaster of this sort.
Actually, none of the facts point to a coaster of this sort. Jeff is right, our ride could use a cable lift with those trains, or our ride could have verticle loops and 90 degree drops. Given the train design, I'm honestly suprised the animation didn't do more. And that's assuming the animation is legit.
The only "fact" we truly know is that it will be a red Intamin coaster.
