I had a very interesting on ride photo on Magnum earlier this season. At first glance it appeared as if my friend and I were looking at each other. Upon closer inspection you noticed the purse floating between out heads and us staring at it looking rather puzzled. The people in front of us were not too happy that they lost their purse.
Last year during Halloweekends on a nighttime Magnum ride, I saw a flashy LED necklace thing go airborne off a girl a few rows ahead. My arms were in the air, and it pretty much went directly into my hand! I didn't catch it, but it did fall into my lap.. We had a fun time with it the rest of the night!
You didn't give it back?
A few years ago one of my friends lost his phone to TTD. A few minutes later his mom (also in the park) received a call from someone who found the phone. Apparently it dropped into Camp Snoopy and landed on a soft rubber area and was completely unharmed. She met up with us and got it back.

They were gone pretty quick as soon as the ride ended
I've seen things and heard stories about things that have fallen from rides or have been left in the midways that should have been thrown away in the first place. Certain items not fit to mention on this site....but people really need to throw away those items, especially if it's used. I mean, who would carry that around in your purse/bag when there are plenty of trash cans around?

Two weekends ago I was riding Magnum, and over one of the last air time hills the girls phone in front of me popped into the air floated, and dropped right into my row. She didn't even realize she lost her phone till I gave it back to her.
That was nice of you dude! Knowing my luck, I would have bobbled it. Lol

My cousin narrowly escaped getting nailed by one of those tiny bottles of Jack Daniel's that someone apparently had on Corkscrew.
Was it full?
I would have chugged it and considered that payment for them losing it.
Well it cracked and leaked out but I think it was unopened.
Just got back from a great day at cedar point. I did notice a lot of lost things laying around the park! For instance I saw two baseball caps within the black fence of pipe scream. I'm not exactly sure how you could lose a hat on such a ride, but it happened! I also saw another baseball cap under the maverick when riding the train to the back of the park. The most random item I saw was a pair of sunglasses on the awning of the concession stand which is under the sky ride queue.
I do have a question. Can you ask for help to retrieve an item if it falls off on a ride? I know they say they're not reliable for lost or stolen items, but can they at least let you retrieve it from under a roller coaster or something?
I'm pretty sure that the crews check the low zones everyday, and they cannot retrieve things while the ride is operating, it is too dangerous. There is also a forum on the Cedar Point website where you can report a lost item.
