The Updated Petting Farm

A human, a goat, and beer. Sounds like a dangerous combination.

Eliminate the human!

Sounds like something from 4chan, for an example, CPNostalgia.

I'm sure the park will see an uptick in petting when that dark ride arrives...

Yeesh, I never "used" it before either, I only know what it is, too.

I don't think I ever want to use it.

I actually had to google it...

Stay away from it if you value your innocence.

Anywho, we were talking about the petting zoo?

The hedgehog is probably cute. I've only seen the back end of it because it seems to always be hiding...being nocturnal at an amusement park probably sucks LOL

^ Was his name Sonic? Lol! Anyhow, I also have noticed no Chickens this year.

^I'm not sure if it applies to Cedar Point or not, but all live bird exhibitions (state fair, county fairs, etc.) are banned in Ohio until further notice. The ODA is using it as a preventative measure against avian influenza.

Yes, I missed the chickens at the fair as I used to raise them but don't anymore. Until this thing gets under control it's best not to transport the chickies around and have them mingling. I don't know wht CP named their hedgehog but my son did name one of his hedgehogs Sonic. They're cool little critters but I've heard they're expensive to buy. We got ours free.

I don't remember if there were any chickens at the Petting Farm, but there were quite a few of them running around the park. They were....oh, sorry, different kind of chicken.

I was lucky enough to be back there during one of the scheduled hedgehog meet and greet times, and he is adorable.

Hedgehogs are awesome. That is all.

Kids can get themselves in trouble with them though. I was packing the cooler getting ready for ERT on Labor Day 2 years ago when my kids decided it would be funny to jab me in the back with a crabby hedgehog. On the one hand it is kind of hilarious but damn that hurt.

Hey everyone. I was just thinking, wouldn't it be cool if Cedar Point had a walk-in parakeet exhibit like the one at the Cleveland Zoo? I know this year they didn't have the chickens, but it would be cool to replace them with parakeets. They seem like friendly birds.

An aviary doesn't really fit in with the 'Barnyard'.

Perhaps by the Dino's with some related educational information.

But it was nice that they still had some animals out and barnyard open during halloweekends.

Did anyone notice the kangaroos this year? I guess CP Fansite on Facebook shared a post and had kangaroos in the barnyard. My second suggestion for the petting farm would be to bring in a monkey or two.
