The possibility of changing some existing rides

I 'm not about changing history , but when ridership goes down and there are posts about how rough and i do mean ROUGH the Mantis is I would think there is time for something to do about it.
I mean look at the first drop-they added a trim break WHY? in the POV video they have posted on there site there is no trim break!
The track lay out s great but i just don't think it should be a stand up!
and as for Maverick we rode it like 3 or 4 times in the same day they didn't even have the water bombs working either! so.....
But hey i guess everyone has there own opinion........

Being a Ride Warrior is just not a job!
It's a way of life!!!
I have ridden the all the coasters at K.I. and C.P. that i have lost count!!!!! and it is not the amount of times i have ridden, it is just the joy of riding them for me!!!!

If you ride Mantis the way it was meant to be as far as the restraints I promise to you that it doesn't hurt.

As far as the trim break goes, it was added to the first drop in order to help increase the interval time since it was hard to hit interval with three trains, and sometimes still is with only 2.

^^ If you are trying to say that Mantis has a bad ridership level, you are wrong. 1,016,505 is not a bad number. If this is what you are not trying to say, please change your writing style because it is horrible. I can't even read it over once because it is so bad.

Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc

It don't hurt-yeah right, one time was good enough for me.

I'll repeat this for the third and final time. If you ride it correctly, it doesn't hurt. Give it a second chance. I know it took me two tries to get it right.

I have rode enough stand up's to know you have to stand up straight! I use to ride the head ache monster King Cobra.
I just might be too tall as well Like i am for Corkscrew!

I'm not so sure that a good coaster needs to be "figured out" in order to be enjoyed. The fact that many guests don't ride it "correctly" is exactly what the problem is...with the design. It's not really a mystery why its species went extinct.

Promoter of fog.

I wouldn't say the species went extinct, since there are still several remaining specimens living and breathing. But clearly all future breeding has ceased.

No breeding? Sterilized? Stand-up coaster?

There's a junk joke in there somewhere...

You people argue way too much...

^Welcome to the Internet!

^Yeah, people argue a lot on the internet, but all of you take it to the extreme!

There is no OFF switch to being a genius.

Of course it could be a dying breed!
You have to look at the fact when you try and design a "Stand -Up" The rules of the game are changed,You have to take things a little more easier as for turns and loops cause the elements on the body are way different.
So the person who is riding it could be doing everything correctly but if the track is not the right layout for being a stand up there are gonna be issues and problems.

You realize that you just made an excellent argument against your previous argument that Mantis be converted to a floorless, right?

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

I just rode maverick in november 2009 and we almost completley stopped in the tunnel... i guess it depends on the timing of the trains but it slowed down for me both times i was on it that day

What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!

Hey i was just throwing floorless out there it could be a Sit-Down too!
But can you understand why a stand up is a dying breed.
But I still don't get it why they have a trim break in the middle of the first hill before a BIG loop and I'm not buying that story about it being for coaster train timing!! There is just no way! Sorry!

And as for Maverick stopping in the tunnel- you got lucky! it could have bein a situation on the platform above some sort of slight delay.
Did you get all the sounds and lights too?

Sometimes i feel that they just do not take any pride in how they keep things up and their choice of rides is really getting poor! I'm sorry but that is just how i feel about it all.and before anyone says"it is not Disney" well they think they can charge you a Disney price!

In All CP Needs to get their act together,I'm sorry but that is just the way i feel about things-But what do i know right?

A 1 day ticket to CP is almost half the price of 1 day at 1 park at Disney. Just throwing that out there...

Whether or not you believe it has no bearing on whether or not it's true.

I would like to see a new boat for Paddle Wheel Excursions... not the entire fleet, but it would be cool to see a stern-wheeler splashing along again.

A stern-wheeler (they used to have some about 30 years ago - although the wheel didn't propel the boat) is too grand for what is left of what was once a great ride. A row boat with a 1/2 hp motor would be more fitting.
