Nice pics, DBCP.
The color isn't too bad, as its a more subdued tan than I was expecting/fearing. I was shocked at how many they carry in one container at a time. I would have thought the supports would be stacked in some sort of organized way, rather than haphazardly like that.
Regardless, this is good news. Vertical construction can't be too far off.
Brandon
Whoever the fellow is who first said creme/cream that is totally false. They should've just said tan. I was expecting brown, but close enough.

The support color is just about the same as the ones on WLL, anybody else think I'm right or wrong? As for a name: How about Whitewater's Revenge?

Does anyone else get the idea that these supports may get filled with sand? They all seem to have a plug near the top so that sand could be put in. Maybe this is beacuse the ride is closer to the camping area and they want it to be a bit quiet.
What do you think?
278 coasters and still counting!
Would that be ala Phantom's Revenge, or even Hydra to Hercules?
Too bad it is going to be Maverick.
cyberdman
Well, seeing as how both Magnum and Mean Streak are much closer to the resorts, I can't see why they'd want it to be quieter for that reason.
Brandon
Let me just say, Hydra and Talon are almost dead silent. Just came back from there this past weekend. What GREAT rides!!
B&M's TRACK is filled with sand...not their supports. I'm sure those caps are there to fish wires up to the track.
I'll admit that Hersheypark took the cake though. It's ran as well if not better than a CF park is. Speaking of Hersheypark....ummm ya, i'm still sticking to the Storm Runner theory for P2007. That ride is out of this world!!
I also hit my 50th coaster on Phoenix, I know it has nothing to do with this topic or this site for that matter but WOW, what a great woodie! *** Edited 6/15/2006 1:31:01 PM UTC by Loopy***
eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!
Ride on, MrScott!
If you saw the upgrade on today's home page you will see that the supports are silver. I think CP could of thought of a less mainstream color but oh well.

I believe the correct color term is beige.
Okay, OKay.... I don't really care, but I had to make it look like I did.
I prefer to think they are Khaki. Hey maybe the new ride is being sponsored by Dockers.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Oh God, just imagine that: Roller coasters becoming like baseball parks, sponsor wise. US Cellular XL-200. PacBell Streak. And of course....Enron Force: Where Corruption Meets 310 Feet.
Last public train of 2005 on MF!
Well, SRF is sponsored by Pepsi.
And there was the Nestea plunge on one of the flume rides. I don't remember which one as it was before my time.
Goodbye MrScott
John
Would they be stain resistant, John?
Wasn't Nestea Plunge Shoot the Rapids? (NO! See EDIT below) This is off the top of my head, and I'm tired and hungry, so I could be wayyy off.
EDIT: It was Mill Race. Oops!

Brandon
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has Pepsi Max: The Big One. I never quit understood how a soda has anything to do with a rollercoaster.
New Season of 'The Office'. TONIGHT!!!
What does a bank have to do with a baseball park? Or cell phones with race cars? Or Buicks with golf?
Brandon
Because Pepsi was willing to help offset the cost of building the coaster.
What does Comerica have to do with baseball? Or Air Canada with Hockey? Or United Airlines with Basketball? Not much except that they helped defer some of the cost of building the stadium/arena/ballpark.
Goodbye MrScott
