You can clearly see in this photo the different color on the rails. This is where the wheels run. I assure you, the white (or light gray) marks are there with the new track. Take a look at Millennium Force in the parking lot before it was built:

The "brown" seen on the wheel paths are red oxide primer. Primer can prevent rust not stop it. To stop the rust you have to grind down to bare metal and recoat. Just like on your car, if you paint over rust it will continue to oxidize under the paint and further deteriorate the metal.
I personaly would like to see a lovely shade of lavender for the supports, it bring a nice spring time felling.
By the way, I was kidding on that last part.

In the many color schemes I’ve done on Hyper Rails, I've found that certain shades of violet aren’t all that bad looking.
And what if they were to do some kind of transition from one color to another. http://www.rcdb.com/ig3081.htm?picture=40
Though Stealth was painted like that because of local complaints/worries.

There were a couple of complaints. One: People thought it was going to be loud and disruptive to the community, so Intamin filled the supports with sand to make the coaster quieter. Then they complained that it was going to be visible from a far distance and thought that was a bad thing. I know what you’re thinking, "THAT'S RIDICULOUS!!!”
So they painted the track and supports, at a certain point, white for that reason. Why white? Blending I guess. Does it help? IDK.
A similar incident happened after Rita was opened. Residents were complaining that Rita was visible and that they didn’t like to see it from their houses. So certain sections were painted green to blend in with the tree line.

Thanks for the pics, I can see it clearly on the MF track. I wonder if painting the wheel paths might have an unwanted effect on performance?

Lmao. Thanks for the reply. I just think that's too funny. They should have tried camouflage for Rita, lol. I just don't understand what the big deal is. I'll go ahead and agree with the loudness aspect, but actually seeing it being a problem?...idk, whatever floats their boat.
Anyway, back on topic, I'm kinda rooting for light teal blue for the supports now, ala Xcelerator: http://www.twistedrails.com/kbf/images/0420/0420-07.jpg
I think it's a festive fun looking combo.

Alot of people in England don't like roller coasters. You can tell by how many people complain. Across from the bottom of the drop on Lightning Racer there is a bunch of houses. It's like 100 feet in front of you. I'm sure those houses are hard to sell.
Also I think the supports should be Royal Blue. They will probably be silver though. :(
