Hello,
I am 18 years old and I live in Michigan right now, but I did get hired at cedar point couple weeks ago and sent my contract in and all that, and there were a few things I was wondering about. Well for first I will be graduating from High School May 30th, and my check in day is june 9th and I think I work the following day, but anyway I was reading and it said the training and orentation for employees starts in the first week in may,so I am wondering if anyone knows what they do with people like me that start a little late? And will I get stuck with on point housing? becasue of me coming in June. And I was wondering if there people my age there that have just got out of high school? Well I look forward to hearing back from people so thankyou
Trevor
As far as housing goes.. I think there are still rooms on-point.. Commons seems to have a large chunk still open and Bayside is full. The reason alot of peopel are getting the "all positions filled" thing is they have set aside all the rooms for peopel who already have thier contracts.
As for training... they continue training through a good part of the season because they have people comming in all season. Your classes may not be your first day as they are trying to put groups of people together as they come in.
Ages, there are alot of peopel your age, mainly people in thier college years and all but you won't have a problem finding people to hang out wither...
Where will you be working so we can all come and bug you ;)

Training is definately no problem at all - there are people coming in throughout the season, so you're not late at all. And it isn't that hard to pick up, so don't fret about it! To be definate about housing, you'll just have to go to the housing offices (commons, on-point, etc) and ask when you process in -- if there is a room, you'll get it, if not, they'll tell you where to go next. You just can't be completely sure!
Have fun!

Los Gatos is a Mexican style food stand in the back of the park in Frontiertown near Snake River Falls. It is a good place to work. I have had friends work there, but I have never worked there myself. They sell tacos, nachos, macho nachos, corn dogs, and icee

When you drive up the causeway, take the left most toll both which leads to the road around the point. Take this road and human resources will be on your left. To turn into it, you need to take a left right before an unmanned security checkpoint in the middle of the road, which will take you to another little security booth which is always manned. It shouldn't be a problem to get by this one. Next, you take a right and go to the end of the parking lot. Human resources is at the end of this parking lot. Voila.
Hey all, I have a question too....
1. Uniforms...how many?
2. Parking pass...I don't have my own car yet, can and will i get one and how does it work..
3. Shoes...can I get these there...what other things besides uniforms can I get???
4. After processing in...can me and my dad get in free for that day..I know about comp tickets but was just curious...
Thanks!
You will get two uniforms so that you can always have one when you need to trade the other in. If you don't have a car, I don't think they'll let you have a parking pass, and there is no such thing as company cars or loaners. There is a bus that will take you to the mall/Meijers on a schedule, though. You can get shoes there, but they're more expensive than they need to be -- I'd recommend (after being a sweep -- the most walking position in the park!) that you get some good ones and get them gently broken in before you get there. You can also pick up raingear, socks, hats, etc. at wardrobe, but nothing too extensive. The blue jumpsuit is almost to die for, it is great for the cold, and a sweatshirt would work well too. After processing in, you will get in for free because of your employee ID, but I don't think that family/friends can, because they don't want people to process in just to get into the park for free. Not that you or anyone here would, but you never know about some people.
Hope that helped! :)

You will need to have your copy of your contract, your social security card, driver's license/photo id, and a birth certificate wouldn't hurt (I don't recall if they require that one or not).

Does anyone know where there are pictures maybe of the housing?

Trevor
Do you want pictures of the inside or outside? I think I have a couple of the inside of Cedars. I will have to look for them. They are in my stack of like 1500 pictures from Cedar Point.
