I was there yesterday when it stalled at the top with riders on it. I took a lot of pictures and the ride op said that this had happened once before with riders. Maintnance men had to go up to push it over. We just got done eating when we saw it and the ride op said it was there for about five minutes. Pretty cool experience for the riders.
I was there yesterday also. But I was in line for Millennium when it launched. There was silence for a second when it stalled. But everyone clapped when the mechanics pushed it over.

I was Just at Cedar Point Yesterday(June 24, 2004) and the train just stopped on the tophat, the train was full, nobody believed me when i said it was stuck at the top, then the gemini ride op said that it happens all the time, and that they send someone up in the elevator to push it over, they were stuck up there for almost 20-30 mins, it was crazy, i would of never believed it could happen if i didn't see it with my own eyes, it was crazy, man wouldn't that just be the view to see, stuck on top of the top thrill dragster.

Rihard 2000, there are only 18 seats on Dragster. 4 cars of 4 and 2 in the first car.
Well Speak of the devil! It happened again loaded. Notice that the PR guy said that this was the 2nd time it's happened loaded, so apparently my supervisor friend was telling the truth. And like I said before, with a loaded train it weighs like 7 tons. No normal gust of wind or people moving around in their seats will break that balancing act.
Those bastards got an awesome view of the park for a ridiculously long amount of time. I'm jealous.

Well, I know how many seats are on the ride. :) I was referring to the way the stalled train was loaded. Take a look at this picture of it...

Do you get what I am asking now? The fourth car looks to be completely empty as does the third row. It's an odd way to load the train is what I am saying. I guess you could say that there are single riders not visible from that angle, but even then it is odd to see them send a train with so few riders.

Ahhh I was there that day, but I came back to Camper Village to go in the pool, right around when it happened. I came back in to my favorite ride (host), Power Tower, and he told me about it. I was so mad that I didn't get to see it, after the other discussion on PointBuzz about the stalls.
EDIT: I mean... this discussion about the stalls, hehe *** Edited 6/26/2005 2:20:50 AM UTC by GeeForce***

I've always asked my friends what would happen if a train didn't roll back, but made it to the top and just sat there. What would CP do if the Train just stopped at the top? Well I guess I found my answer just reading about it today. Man it had to be hot up there thats for sure. I was there on Thursday, and they were running the trains in manuel mode the whole evening. I know that has nothing to do with it, but we saw one train roll back during this evening.
They should have T-Shirts to give you that say, "I Stalled The Dragster" It wouldn't cost that much, considering it has only happened 2 times with people in it in 2.5 seasons.

I remember when Dragster was being built and I had expressed the idea that the coaster could stall at the top. Of course, everyone thought I was a lunatic for even suggesting it.
Never say never.
