Soak City

Anyone in here going to be at soak city? I'm new and just want to get to know some people from there before I come up May 11. Anything I should be aware of? Heard it should be fun

I'm gonna be a lifeguard this year at soak city. I came up here to work at cedar point from orlando florida. I have been both an american red cross and Ellis and Associates certified lifeguard for the past 5 years. Its an awesome job and the girls are incredible. Pay special attention to the girls coming down the speed slides, tops fly off left and right if they don't hold them!! Lifeguarding is an awesome job! Lets just hope that there aren't 2 many beached whales walking around soak city! Email me if you want to discuss possible roommate situation. Dadoggyfathr@aol.com. I check in april 24th. Fat girls are like mopeds. They're a lot of fun, but if your friends fine out you're riding one, they'll make fun of you.

Yea Soak City is great. If anybody that is coming back from West Crew 2002 reads this, write back to me. Cedar Point is awesome. Dont get bummed out once you get there. After you have been there a few weeks things will settle into place. Just stick it out. You will have a great summer.

What's Soak City like? Is it, like, as good as Astroworld or Six Flags waterparks? I was thinking of applying for lifeguard, but I don't know. (BTW, I am not a beached whale. Shame on you guys.)

The annoying part about soak city is magnum. The antirollbacks are annoying and you can hear the lift speal clearly on the ground unlike when your actually on magnum.

Soak City and the beach are my favorite places to go after work and on my days off. What other job can you have where you walk straight from the time clock on one of those hot July days to the changing room and the beach? Oh, we are so spoiled, we are... ^_^

I'm starting lifeguarding on June 6th. I'm really excited. I'm kinda nervous about all the training but totally up for it. If anyone could let me know a little about it so i know what to expect that would be great.

I think that is horrible. I am not a big girl, but I know alot of girls would be affended by that! Whats wrong with a big girl?

Nothing, if they dress in a way to tastefully display their size. It's the "big girls" that dress like they are 120 lbs., in two piece bathing suits, that I don't want to see.

OK, I can understand what you mean by big girls wearing bikini's that obviously don't fit them. That's just wrong. But you should specify next time what you were talking about instead of just saying "beached whales".

As for soak city, I have to say I love the fact that Maggie runs right through the middle of it. It's great to just relax in the renegade river or wave pool and watch the coaster fly by!

Caroline, I never made the original comment. I was simply addressing Megie's question. People sometimes don't realize how they look. Someone who may look good in a well fitting one piece suit tries to stuff themselves into a bikini, a size or two too small, is not nice to look at.
