Fear the Mullet!
It what could only be called no surprise, I am going to have to go along with Jeff and Mr. Spartan on this one. They have, in my opinion, a pretty good track record when it comes to Cedar Point :)

Which part of "It's not upto Park Operations to paint the rides" was unclear again?
The only thing worse than a guest know-it-all is an employee know-it-all who actually doesn't know anything.

Lol Jeff, it's not like Monty would be able to tell that Mantis had been re-painted anyway. ;)

To hopefully put a final end on the whole painting deal, listen up: I am the owner of "the company" who has got the bid to paint Mantis. I would hope that the park would let us know before anyone else. So there you have it, end of story.

I was super before Superstew was cool!
They'll probably paint it rust colored so nobody will notice when it starts to look like crap again.
Why do some B&M tracks look so bad so fast? Raptor I can understand with all the seagull poop, but Mantis rarely has those "deposits" made that Raptor does.

"I also think WT is in a bad location. Nothing better than a nice cool ride on Wicked Twister with sand being blown straight into your eyes. I had an unfortunate incident like this on GW last year during a wind storm. MAN THAT HURT. I'd hate to get sand in my eyes while traveling 72 MPH.
Two words for you: safety glasses.
Personally, I think some form of eye protection is a Good Idea™ on any high-speed coaster. Nothing fancy...a pair of sunglasses, prescription lenses, sport goggles, whatever. We're not talking about an industrial situation where you have to worry about chemicals or chunks of debris, so OSHA-approved stuff is probably overkill. But something between your eyeball and that sand/wind/bug/raindrop/lost_lunch/etc flying toward you at high speed could save you from injury.
