So who thinks Mantis's 2nd station is being built?

The MF cam has been taken down now. We saw lights down there before and it's been down for a while now. I sure hope they're going ahead with that likely rumor...

The only thing I think is likely is that the camera has been giving them problems for some time and no image sure looks a lot better than a broken image on a professional Web site.

Actually due to unforseen circumstances, Mantis will NOT be getting a paint job this year

NOT be getting a paint job!?! This is desappointing news to hear, since the best stand-up rollercoaster at Cedar Point would have really looked good with a new coat. Oh well though, I still love it!

What?!? I was more excited about Mantis getting repainted than Wicked Twister being built. Oh well, I guess on the bright side we may have something to look forward to for 2003. (get it, bright side?) :)

Well Park Op was told it would not be painted because of Budget

Would building an unloading station on Mantis be such a big secret? I don't see why it would be a kept under wraps (i.e.- Web Cam down, the mysterious lights, no announcement).

It's not upto Park Operations to Paint the rides. That is Monty Jasper and His Planning and design team. Park Operations is their to run the Rides in a safe manner and for the guest.

Like I said, Jasper said it would be painted. It came up in part with regards to why they painted Raptor's rails (and now I don't remember why it was OK or what the story was, other than it had something to do with old Arrow paint jobs.
