Skyhawk cam down!

Anybody know why shyhawk cam is down, maybe there moving it to another location?

opps i mean skyhawk,sorry about the misspelling :-)

Tony and Tyler said they bought a new cam and it sould only be down for a day or two.

Now that they have a 3rd camera I wonder where they'll put the old SkyHawk one?

Then need to get a camera like the Cleveland cam that can also switch to a video mode. So then we can see the ride swing.

Y'know? It sounds weird to hear "old" and "Skyhawk" in the same sentence - no one's even ridden it yet. ;)

I think they said that they are just moving the camera to a better spot, because if you saw the pics from an earlier blog, the cam was on top of a big structure at the Town Hall. They want to move it so when guests are there, they wont notice it, and it won't cause trouble

The Skyhawk Cam will disappear for a bit. We’re hoping for only 1 day, but it may be longer. We’re installing a brand new cam that we’re sure you’ll like. It will still show Skyhawk, by the way.

They'll get a new one, but I think that they wont use the old one

I think (ok, I hope), that we´re gonna see a cam showing the construction for the 2007 attraction sometime soon. Just a feeling. But probably not before season start.

I am not normally one to be like "Oh my gawrsh the cams ain't workin'!"

BUT...

I was wondering what was up on the FunCoast cams, and it may have just been me....but it seemed like every cam was not actually linking to the proper cam; rather, they all showed a random dock-type structure in a lake.

Sort of weird??

I think that they should reinstall a new TTD cam back up on its structure. I miss seeing the lines gathering.

That's why we're down to two cams in the first case; because that cam was exposed to the weather way up there. While it made for a cool shot, I think they learned their lesson with that one...

Maybe they should reinstall the cam that was up on Power Tower, it still gave you a great shot of Dragster and it's line.

Good point DBCP, What about the webcam that was above TTD on-ride photo center?

Where did that one go?

They should reinstall one there? What does everyone else think?

I think that the cams are overrated and are only paid attention to by a few.

Sorry, but I can't think of one other person in my life that has even heard of those cams, or the site, for that matter.

They had three.
1.) On TTD, was ruined by the weather.
2.) Facing maXair, relocated as the "Midway Cam."
3.) Was on top of the TTD on-ride photo purchase kiosk, was relocated as the Skyhawk cam.

As for keeping one on top of the on-ride photo kiosk, I think it's time for a move. It's been there for how long now, 2.5, 3 years? No offense to TTD, but I'd rather look at something else for a change... :)

I have to admit... it should only take a day to install a camera. As if they were hiding something.
