Sky scraper and go karts leaving

Just wondering what your thoughts were with the Sky Scraper and go karts leaving us this week for future development! They are starting this week with the sky scraper.

Basically already being talked about here

Has there been any confirmation about Sky Scraper leaving?

Its still on challenge park list of rides on CP.com

Has this been confirmed? I thought it was still speculation. Only thing confirmed leaving is Chick-Fil-A

It hasn't been confirmed. He made that up.

It has been confirmed. I obviously cannot provide the sources. But the demolition crew has started planning for this weekend. I can post pictures this weekend if possible.

Good riddance to the go karts.

I hope skyscraper gets relocated in the park like slingshot as an upcharge attraction.

I wonder if Skyscraper might find a new home near Valravn. There's construction (between BS and Valravn) that has yet to be accounted for via announcements or renderings.

I expect that would be the gift shop/exit. Tony did mention that Valravn would have one.

There is a slot of land that I have been wondering about between the road and the dive loop that could conceivably hold sky scraper. I thought I spotted some digging going on there a week or so ago.

Not saying it isn't true. Just saying I don't put much faith in sources that can't be revealed and demolition crews that can't be named.

True, I understand where you're coming from, I will try to upload some picture this weekend, early next week.

how exactly are you gonna get pictures over the weekend? You can't really see that area from outside the park, and Lake Erie is kinda frozen..

Maybe he's working the Lemon Chill stand this weekend.

There's a ton of ways to get pictures...

Fly over, Famous Daves impromptu visit, camera with nice giant lens, general contract worker on point atm, park employee, etc.

If he has pictures, he may share them. If he doesn't, they won't appear. Let things play out and we will see what happens.

I'm just wondering if you could get in trouble for talking about this. I know some less popular attractions being removed isn't a huge deal to the park, but I'm not sure if they are happy with that info being leaked. I'm sure they will officially announce it at WCO. That's when we found out about TPC being removed.

I'm not surprised about go karts. I suggested that at the beginning of this thread along with challenge golf. I have a feeling skyscraper will get put inside the park.

Possibly. I had assumed that, like Gatekeeper, the gift shop and photo building would be in the ground floor of the station.

If this is true, that just leaves Ripcord out there by itself. It wouldn't draw much attention back there on it's own other than from those who enter Soak City and come and go through the Magnum gate.

Interestingly, Challenge Park doesn't have any hours posted yet for 2016. Whether or not this is a sign, I cannot say.
