I don't understand your question. I think of the park as 5 distinct sections. The front from gate to the far end of Skyride, Dragster midway, Gemini Midway, Frontier Town, and Frontier Trail. The trail is the only one that doesn't have a coaster in it.

Frontier Trail starts once you cross the railroad tracks past the Funway Station. MF is on the Frontier Trail.

Maybe I read too much into it, but I feels weird that they would reference STR right after a rumor came up that it was on its last leg.

No, I agree with Shorthorn. Why else would he post something like that if he wasn't teasing. This pretty much confirms it in my book.

Lol, it confirms nothing. I will find this hilarious if this all ends up being a rumor.

I still find it odd that it was listed on the updated FL site just a few days back.

I would divide the park into six sections... Front/WT midway, Iron Dragon midway (I would say it includes to millennium force, just because it doesn't get very wooded until after you pass it), frontier trail, Frontiertown, Gemini midway, dragster midway. Frontier Trail is still the only one without a coaster.

Frontier Trail does not need a coaster. The point of the trail is to have it be quiet, shaded, and peaceful.

Only 2 rides are on the trail and that is Shoot the Rapids and Thunder Canyon. Both go with the backwoods theme.

If true, this doesn't bother me one bit. I never liked the ride, rode it back when it opened, and thought it was a WWL wannabe. It didn't feel safe back then, and then the infamous accident happened which made me even more skeptical of the ride. This past summer I had a friend, who hadn't been to CP in 10 years, come down with my wife and I. She talked me into riding STR with her and on the first hill, just before the crest, it made one hell of a clicking noise, the boat jolted and over the hill we went. Was this normal? I don't recall this occurring the time before. It scared the hell out of me just thinking about the previous accident.

Frontier lift version 2

Rip cord could fit in that area nicely. lift spikes on the other side of the lagoon, swing over repurposed pond. The viewing area for STR still overlooks the pond, but now can watch the ripcord riders. And the entire Millennium Island portion of the ride is still available for a dark ride or flume or whatever.

I have a feeling once STR removal is confirmed, a lot of people are going to start showing love to the ride and all of the STR lovers are gonna come out of the wood work.

PS: you guys would really be surprised if Shawn handcuffed himself to the ride?

Millennium Force has nothing to do with the frontier so I'd say it stands on its own whether it is actually part of the trail or not. Also, I dont think replacing STR with something like a coaster would take away from the peace of the area at all especially seeing how it could go out onto the island and all. I dont really expect them to put a coaster in STR's place, but anything is possible. I feel that the coasters are what makes CP beautiful so I'm always for them.

Thabto, don't worry. I'm not going to chain myself to Shoot the Rapids. Both hills will probably both be gone by time Winter chill out comes anyway.

I've noticed that the noise from the anti-rollbacks on the boats increased as the boats crested the lift hill. That is probably what your heard. I don't remember if the noise increased like that before the rollback, might be a byproduct of the modifications that were made.
