Good riddens. Horrible design, stupid premise, and a dangerous and faulty product. Not to mention a HUGE waste of space. Good choice in just cutting the losses.
And the crowd went WILD!
It would be great if they put in a traditional log flume that everyone wanted in the first place.
When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835
They had a perfectly good traditional log flume. All they needed was to fix the caves and give it some paint.
So is this where they are allegedly moving Ripcord?
That frees up a significant amount of space. Not huge, but significant. I wonder what it will be used for.

Dark ride next year would be my guess.
Well, there is enough room for an adult size whip now. (Still want a whip at CP).
Can we all agree that Shoot the Rapids was an even bigger failure than Disaster Transport?

Yes. Rip Cord will be moved here and will swing across the lagoon, as an expansion for Soak City next year.
Michigan's Adventure or Dorney Park may be getting a "new" water ride this year.
It looked nice, but that's about it. I remember banging my elbow on a drop last year really hard. I'm not sad its coming out. but I do hope they don't just replace everything with pay to play rides.
First ride; Magnum 1994
I can see it now; a wild western themeed dark ride. Awsome!!
Rode it a grand total of 1 time, I think in 2012. Adios and good riddance.
I'd take it in MiA! It would be like the 3rd best ride there, sadly enough.

Hopefully they are getting a refund. That's how the lemon law works right?
Demon Drop 2004 Castaway Bay Lifeguard 04-05
I doubt they will relocate this to another park. Most of the ride is a concrete flume. Its not like moving a steel coaster.
