Hmm and a certain someone doubted my Ripcord relocation theory.
When I first heard the news, I was completely shocked, but at the same time not really. I think I'm shocked for its removal because the thing has only operated for 5 seasons. And I wouldn't even consider 2010 as an operating season for that POS because of the late opening and down time.
Intamin owes them something good now since we're only back down to 4 out of the 5 ride contract ;)

Rip Cord is going where STR is.
That's what it looks like.
And now that Causeway is breaking.... What a day for cedar point.
I wouldn't mind a 500' whatever but to be more realistic I wouldn't mind seeing a log flume and a family style coaster like FireChaser Express or a Mack Spinner like Cobra's Curse join it. The park could really use another large family coaster/attraction.
But, you can also put me in the camp that would be very happy to see a B&M flyer. I love flyers for what they are ("gimmick") and interacting with the lagoon would be a nice feature.
I'm a curse! Everything I touch turns to dust. I worked the go-karts in 2002. I was in the STR commercial....Newsflash. I worked MF for 1 hour....beware!
I'm too sexy for my harness!
^^ Campfreak, Millennium Force is too popular to get removed. I think it's safe to say Millennium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, and Maverick are staying.

Can you work at Mean Streak this year?
Oh hell no! I won't go anywhere near that thing. I can stare at it with binoculars if you'd like.

I'm with Shawn on this one. I personally loved Shoot the Rapids. It was especially a very beautiful ride too look at from the midway. Sad to see it go. But as Shawn said, you gotta welcome the new. I sure hope they keep the western theme. If they keep all the theming as is, they could make a sick flyer that could maneuver through the canyons and buildings and lagoon. That would be awesome. I just hope they don't waste that great piece of land.
And one more note, this is going to be one hell of a Winter Chill Out!

This sucks. CP has a good track record of removing rides I really enjoyed. Demon Drop. Disaster Transport. WildCat. And now Shoot the Rapids which seems like it was just built yesterday. By far my favorite water ride at the park. RIP
^ I enjoyed Shoot the Rapids.... But no water ride beats White Water Landing.

I & whoever I was with always walked by and looked, but didn't want to walk around wet. Can't say I'm sad, although I know it had fans (mainly Shawn). Lets all hope they do something with that space besides waste it on ripcord.
