It's currently, "Shoot the Snow Drifts".

Seriously though, I wouldn't expect to hear or see anything for a while. Unless we're told upfront again.........

I bet Jeff is reading this and probably is surprised I didn't bring this topic up. He would've locked this topic if he knew I started it. :)

I think we're all a bit surprised. :P

The next opportunity to find out if the ride is fixed will be on opening day. Either it will be running, or it won't.
I suppose there is a possibility the question could be asked at an off season Q & A session, if there is one this year. Otherwise, wait for opening day.

It all depends on if enough patrons memory has faded enough to forget what closed it in the first place.
If it's quietly reintroduced with the "oh, it's all fixed now - never mind" attitude the PR department's damage control did it's job.

Shoot the rapids isn't running today, AGAIN.

I think it's a conspiracy.

It could be a bobsled/luge run today! That way the new mandatory helmet rule could be quietly introduced!

Then the next step would be to enclose it and add black lights...

You would think Cedar Point would at least mention something in their On-point blog about off-season progress with Shoot the Rapids? If not now, maybe closer towards May they'll mention something, at least that's what I'm hoping for. I won't say anymore because people will be annoyed with me.

Will be? ;)

If they do enclose it and add black lights, renaming it "Disaster Transport" is perfect!

Disaster Transport 2.0 "You'll flip for it"!

2.0!

Titanic -- you'll go down with the ship.

Not really funny, remember it was a serious accident.

except for the fact that no one was seriously hurt.

Toledo Blade: ". . .six of the seven boat passengers on the log flume were evaluated and treated at the park and then were released and the other was taken to a hospital for further evaluation before being released."

This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!

All kidding aside, enclosing the boring parts of this ride and adding some great dark ride features would be a nice way to improve it if this was possible. The enclosed sections could have a mountain finish to them adding to the character the the area.
