Indeed! Seeing a Monty Python reference on the boards again made my day! Now, if only T&T would chop down a tree with a herring and post a picture or two on the blog. ;)
Cedar Point really doesn't need anymore of this "tree-chopping" nonsense... :)

Yeah, I really love Monty Python. BTW, do you recognize my avatar? It's from a Monty Python sketch.
It appears to be Terry Gilliam in the Spanish Inquisition skit....could be wrong on the skit, but its Terry.

If Disaster Transport and the Aquatic Stadium were removed, they could build a very nice flume ride with great views in that space.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I don't go often in the high season, usually stick to May and mid-week to avoid the crowds. Does the Good Time Theater draw a crowd when the park's busy? I don't think I've ever seen more than a handful when I've been there. The reason I bring it up, if WC is the one to go, they could free up more space if the theater goes as well. Nee.
This rumor is going to be not true I hope so. Because I am so tried about Cedar point coaster removal. screamscape rumor is going to be false soon. Because cedar point is not going to rid a roller coaster to replace a new roller coaster. they only rid very old flat rides and not roller coaster.
They've removed several coasters though. Most notable (and recent) was the Jumbo Jet. Heck, the original Wild Cat now resides at Valleyfair, as Cedar Point sent that one there and replaced it with an identical ride.

To summarize this whole thing I would be very said if any of the coasters were to leave no matter what it is. Seeing a coaster come down is very sad. The only one I might not be sad about would be Disaster Transport (which I actualy don't hate it like the rest of you), but anyways if that was the ride to go I would definetly not want it replaced by a woodie like the rest of you said. I would replace it with another dark ride, indoor coaster, etc.

Why tear down something that ruins the view, only to replace it with something that - once again - ruins the view?
Brandon
And what view? I dunno, I've seen much better lakeshore views before, so I'm not sure exactly how I'm missing anything.

John
I've seen plenty of (ahem) Superior lake views, but none at CP that are better than the one blocked by that monstrosity.
Brandon
I'm not convinced there is a "view" down that midway if the warehouse were removed. The best views CP has of the lake are when you're in the air. So, removing the building could add stunning views, if there was an exterior lift hill on a new coaster. :)
With the addition of Wicked Twister and Giant Wheel, they sorta killed the boardwalk idea for me. They could turn the existing midway into a wooden walkway to create the illusion of a boardwalk, which might be cool. But, I'm not sold on the idea there is some amazing view behind DT unless you're elevated.
No, its not an amazing view by any standard. But a view of a lake, even through a lift hill or Giant Wheel, is far better than a crappy metal box.
And, just so we're clear, Tim... franchise eateries are bad, but a giant metal box is good? ;)
Brandon
If DT or Wildcat are removed, they should be replaced with a similar ride. How about this: an indoor wild mouse or sierra sidewinder type ride. what is currently 2 different ride experiences merged into one ride.
They could remove wildcat, the preshow part of the theatre and part of the employee dorms and get a medium sized ride like that in there.
