I flew to Cedar Point 1 week before closing weekend and circled the park with my dad (he was the pilot). It looks pretty cool from the air. :)
This whole arguement is a little bit silly. It's entertaining me though while im sitting here in my Computer Applications class making a travel guide for Universal Orlando. Curse High School.
Ive always heard it refered to as a peninsula. I don't know what the hell it is but I'm going to keep referring to it as a peninsula because thats what I'm used to hearing. I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong so please dont try to start an arguement with me now. I'm with Ben and MrScott on this one too. My brain is going to crawl away like an alien and find a new body that isn't addicted to Cedar Point and therefore, doesn't have to read about people arguing about Cedar Point's geography. :)

Well, I think the first 5 words of that exerpt sums things up. "Cedar Point is a peninsula..."
I have to go do some productive stuff now.

Oh I'm sorry Ben and MrScott. I didn't know it was illegal to agree with you. I won't do it anymore :)

Sorry to interrupt the argument, but I've seen cp from an airplane a number of times cpkid. Whenever I fly from Detroit or Toledo, thats the #1 thing that I look for.

I've flown in and out of Cleveland several times this year alone, including routes over the lake. But I have yet to see Cedar Point from the air. It's either too cloudy, I'm on the wrong side of the plane, too dark, etc.
Thanks for posting that link Walt. I just skimmed through it, but will read the entire thing later. Very interesting!

Ive actually have a home video flying over the point, but I don't know how to link it up.

I really mean this in the nicest way possible when I say that you all are nerds. :) Let's argue a new topic: Why do we park in driveways and drve on parkways :)
Wow, if there's so much debate about whether Cedar Point is an island or penninsula (and really, who cares?)...
Imagine how much crap the land-locked KINGS ISLAND gets!
You all lose...
Cedar Point is on LAND.
Thats all that matters.
"Ive got the need, the need for speed!"
What is your problem? Take a chill pill already. Okay, please end the island thing. I'm sorry I even started it in the first place, because some people have problems with new suggestions.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
