I'm sure a coaster is going to be ONE addition to that area. I think the BS midway will stretch and connect to the main midway so it isn't just a pocket with one attraction.

Of course it doesn't come out and say what this sign is building up to, but it's rather obvious, isn't it? It certainly communicates it to me loud and clear.
I wouldn't go so far as to say it offers any clues as to what type of coaster it's going to be, but this is a neat way to build up to the announcement in August.
Promoter of fog.
Signs, signs, everywhere a sign. Blocking all the scenery, breaking my mind. Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?
Again, I am all for skepticism and not trying to find meaning where there is none, but in this case it is the opposite and people are trying to find a lack of meaning where there is one...
A sign about the Coaster Legacy at Cedar Point which states that the Legacy will continue by itself would lead to speculation of a new coaster. Put that sign on a fence that surrounds recently cleared land and it becomes much more than speculation, yes, there will indeed be a new coaster of some sort on that land in the near future.
Obviously they are going to add a new coaster to this timeline ever week or so until the announcement in august. By the sign saying "These experiences are unmatched, and this history, this legacy, will continue here at The Roller Coaster Capital of the World" means they are planning something they don't already have (dive? flyer?), and something that is unique (world record breaking elements?). Maybe they're planning something totally unheard of like the Top Thrill Dragster or Millenium and creating a whole new type of coaster. Only time shall tell!

It says that a new roller coaster is coming next season.
It does? Where?
I mean, "basically".

And sometimes it just means that somewhere in the future we will build another coaster. The key word being future, meaning 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc., etc. and so forth.
Right, and sometimes it means we'll get a dive coaster next year.
Saying that the signs have an arbitrary meaning is just being overly skeptical. It would seem to me that a coaster will go in that area regardless of the signs.
^^ You wrote skeptical, but I think you actually meant believing.
In any event, it's still more fun to believe things like this have meaning than to think they don't.
Guys, it's obvious. They're showing a wood coaster, and a wood structure with steel track. Mean Streak is being relocated to that area and given the RMC treatment. Duh.
On a more trivial note, I'm wondering how they'll incorporate renamed coasters into the timeline (Wilderness Run and Rougarou). Will they be positioned by the year they were built (as Jr. Gemini in 1979 and as Mantis in 1996, respectively), or the year they were converted (2014 and 2015 respectively)?
And also if they'll include Pipe Scream. I've heard a lot of people consider it a flat ride, but the official website counts it as a coaster.
Since it's listed on the park website as a coaster, it seems likely they'll include it.
I'd guess they'll go with the year the ride was built rather than the year it was re-named.
I'm a Marxist, of the Groucho sort.
Pipe Scream is not a coaster. I don't know why the park considers it as such.

For one, it doesn't "coast". It's driven by a motor. And it just goes back and forth while spinning around. I consider it more of a flat ride.
