Or it could just look a lot better than a plain wooden wall.
Jeff, not even you could possibly think this is the case?
There's been a lot of wild speculation on here over the years, based on very little actual evidence, but this seems like a no-brainer. There's a reason for the signs, and it's not simply to decorate the fence.
Thinking back to Gatekeeper, and before that, Maverick, fences like this have always received signs (eventually) detailing the new attraction. The fact that this appears to be set up as a chronological list, with arrows polnting forward to the next ride, makes this a slam dunk in my mind. I'd bet everything I own. Those who are saying otherwise are likely just stirring the pot, and not willing to put their money where their keystrokes are.
After 17 years of doing this, I'm still surprised at how how much people can overthink stuff and look for deeper meaning in the most uninteresting things. Seriously, if you want to insist that they're going to build another coaster, then go to a logical place, like the idea that they're certainly not going to not build one again.

So when I was up there on Monday they had signs up for Blue Streak and Cedar Creek Mine Ride.
Do you suppose they stopped with Mine Ride because there is a heated argument going on over whether the next sign should be for Wildcat or for Corkscrew? And if Wildcat is next, will it be followed by Jumbo Jet?

Does any one else find it interesting that other than these signs on the fence, which we can't even say are teasers, that there have been no teases yet (especially from Tony). It may still be early yet, but I feel like in past years they had dropped some subtle hints by this point in the season, especially through Tony's twitter and this year we haven't had anything other than a huge chunk of land being opened up, a handful of markings on the midway, and a few signs on a fence.

I feel like 3 weeks after the park opens is not a typical time frame for marketing to start teasing for the next season. They probably want us to enjoy what is available at present, rather than hyping up next season's addition so early.
Obviously you weren't around in 2006 then. That whole year was hype for Maverick even with a new attraction.
