Roller Coaster History Timeline Added to Construction Fence

Here's a 2 minute video I made that goes through all the steps:

I can't tell if you are being insulting in a really passive aggressive way or if you are being genuine.

They call me Sheehan.

^ My guess is genuine for sure, he seems to be that type of person, I wouldn't take any of the explanation as insulting or passive aggressive.

I'd say he's being very genuine. His written directions were very thorough and clear, and then he took the time to make a video as well. Some people learn better reading, others by watching.

Actually, I just signed up for an Imgur account.... hadn't thought about the server-pinging business.

I was legitimately trying to be helpful... :-\ It's not exactly a straightforward process...

In addition to what they are planning, can we get one of these for the other side of the fence? It looks like a lot of fun.

Ahh Heck No!

Millennium Force and Wicked a Twister are now on the wall. I found this out because the GOCC posted a picture. I went on the comments of the picture and someone said that towards the end of the sky ride you can see concrete footers. Does anyone else know about these or if they even exist?

Ride Operations- Professor Delbert’s Frontier Fling

Why would they put concrete footers next to the skyride? That means people are going to run into it when they start construction. Lol

I think he meant you can see them from Sky Ride, not that they are next to it.

Whoever said that should have taken a picture... It would be great if anyone at the park this week could try to confirm or deny this.

I'm suprised that we have only heard one strong rumor at this point... By now the rumor mill is usually running strong. There has been no mention of anything by the park. Maybe it might pick up in July.

I hired an investigator.

Only wants french fries and pop corn in return.

We should attach a camera to it. I'm sure we would get some sweet views.

So, it mentions that Wicked Twister is the tallest and fastest double-twisting impulse coaster in the world. Isn't it the ONLY double-twisting impulse coaster?

CoasterCam's avatar

I believe so, but even without being specific I think it is the tallest impulse coaster. They have always marketed it as double twisting. Personally I love Wicked Twister, and I find the ones that don't twist on both towers to be very meh.

I'm not really sure what you mean. They've fenced off an entire area and told you in no uncertain terms that a new coaster in coming next year, and they told you it will be announced in August.

What more can they tell you?

Like my wife always says, maybe you're "hearing but not listening".

I too enjoy Wicked Twister. I recall going to a deserted Geauga Lake in 2006 and riding "Steel Venom" with it's non-twisting rear spike and being completely blindsided by the holding brake. That was not expected. But still, WT was better. Rear seat FTW.

Isn't WT the tallest/fastest inverted coaster as well?

I merely meant that we haven't seen any teasing besides the fence signs. I know it is not necessary but we all know how Tony is. I just thought that he would have pounced on this opportunity to tease enthusiasts mercilessly.
Kings Island for example played Banshee screams and placed owls and other spooky things in trees the entire summer before announcing Banshee. Holiday World had a 66 Days at Sea campaign as well before announcing TBird. These are the things that really build hype for a new coaster, or at least they do for me.
Cedar Point coming right out and saying we are the Coaster Capital of the World and it is going to stay that way doesn't really do that for me, but to each his own I guess.
