Forget the pricing for a moment........For those of you who have been on Ripcord, did you feel the ride was worth your time.
Personally, I've been on Ripcord dozens of times, and everytime I'm on it feels like the first, and the rush you get is unbelievable.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, as this ride CLEARLY the best ride in the park.
I've always wondered, what's the size/weight maximum? Would a guy who can just barley get the seatbelt closed on Millennium Force be able to fit RipCord and be comfortable? And would that said guy be able to take someone else up with him?
Always wondered. Seems a bit expensive, but I think it would be worth it. Once.

According to the Rider Safety Guide, the maximum recommended weight limit is 850 pounds per flight. Not sure about how accommodating the individual harnesses are, but I've never heard about it being a problem. We have some current and former RipCord employees here who can elaborate, I'm sure.

Rip Cord is a ton of fun, and the crew is cool this year too. :) I don't think that weight/size is much of an issue on that ride.
I really wanted to try the 300 foot Skycoaster at Old Town in Orlando, as the window of my hotel was literally looking right at it. Of course I got over there the morning that I was leaving only to find the park didn't open until 4 PM...
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
In the summer I worked at Ripcord, we never turned someone away for weight or height... Only drunkeness...
The 850 pound-per-flight rule is just a precaution. Those cables are able to handle much more. When the Skycoaster guys were at the park they said we could fly a car with those cables... Wouldn't that be a sight?

I come to CP about twice a year and I always hit the challenge park for Ripcord before I even go in the park. (Heck of a warm-up ride, I know.) MF and TTD are a little snug on me. I usually have to give one good hard tug to get the half inch of slack. Never had any problem on Ripcord. The harnesses are pretty accomodating.
I love flying on the ripcord! I have flown with my wife, mother-in-law, and my oldest daughter, not to mention a small handfull of other friends. I cannot see not getting a thrill from the ride. Cost can be a Ouchy on my budget! I don't ride it every time I go, but I try at least once a season. I have rode the skycoaster in Florida, It is the adrenaline junkies dream, if you cannot afford to skydive that is.
CP has 3 sizes of flight suits:
Blue - Junior
Purple - Medium
Red - Large
Whats interesting is SkyCoaster actually has a Black suit as well which is their largest size suit, which Shaquille O' Neal used when he flew on a Skycoaster...
I wonder why CP doesn't have a few of those just in case.... not that its been a problem yet...

I've been on it once, and it was absolutely amazing (that's all I'm gonna say about it, words will never be able to describe the experience). The video is definitely worth it too, I watch it every now and then.
As for the people who have to go on it alone, you could do what the guy right after me did. Just wander around the park or challenge park, find two random people who are willing to do it and go with them. He said that every single time he comes to CP or a Six Flags with one, that's what he always does. Says that they neeevver get old, which I can wholeheartedly agree with :)

I'm 5' 9" and weigh 220. Most times when I ride Skycoasters I get stuck in a purple suit. Every time I feel like I'm being folded in half when the floor drops. It's just a little too small. The one time I've been in a red suit I was much more comfortable.
What are the official size designations for the suits? Or is it really just an eyeballing of the guest and guessing?
