I have lots of fav. times at CP this year. One was at CoasterMania being at the q&a thing and seeing Dick Kinzel come in the room and all of us standing up and giving him a standing ovation. Another one was hearing these guys say that Maverick was based on the movie Top Gun. I thought i was going to laugh hearing that. Another one was seeing the Hot Summer Lights show. The piros and fireworks and fire water was really cool to see. Kinda reminded me of the live WWE shows i see all the time. I hope 07 is real good for all the Cedar Fair owned parks. I guess you can say that Cedar fair rules the buckeye state and Cedar Point is leading the charge.
I only got one trip in here, but it rocked! Being one of the Birthdaymania winners from OnPoint! certainly gave me enough time to grow a new love of TTD. That and losing my cell phone that i shared with my bro on the Magnum. After that, my parents finally caved and got us each separate cell phones- at 18 years old! Anyway, the day was great, and Milli was closed all day, until I went by on the way out of the park. It opened just as i passed, and me and my family were on the first train of the day! What an experience, cant wait to use my senior skip days next spring for Maverick!!!
The AL Wildcard will come from the AL Central, and it wont be the Twins.

Birthdaymania 06- Ride On!
A father's proudest moment, is getting his 16 year old daughter to ride the NEXT biggest ride. This year it was MAGNUM, and she keeps going back. Your kids expressions are priceless.
Although, my son and I got on TTD for the first time this year, and I have to say, His proudest moment was seeing my expression of my 1st ride on TTD. It's the same old story, FEAR, FEAR, drifting into launch position, MORE FEAR, the launch, excitement, smacking the side of your face on the back head rest during the twist up the hill. Seeing all of Cedar Point at the top, Then Throwing your arms up in Excitement for the "Hands Up" going down the 400ft hill, and then having to do it all over again because it was the best feeling you have ever had on a ride...
That is my most memorable moment this year.
Hay I also got a Top Thrill Dragster vinyl banner, for a price of 85 bucks. ;)
Quote from a Corkscrew ride op, "And Dragster is down again"
The afternoon of Coastermania, I met my wife at the front of the park when she arrived after work. She proceeds to tell me she got something for us and hands me a bag......
I open the page to find a Cedar Point baby shirt !!!!!!
Yeap, what a great place and day to find out we are expecting our first child !!!!!!!
I've got a great one...
Opening Day, 2006
My brothers and I went to CP for my bachelor party on opening day. That alone was a ton of fun, but if I had to nail down one ride, that's no problem.
We decided our last ride would be MF so we got in line a little before closing. When we were a couple trains away from riding, they started the opening day fireworks show. We could see huge fireworks for nearly the entire ride - that was impressive. But as we jumped over the lagoon on our way back to the station, the finale kicked in. By the time we popped out of the tunnel, the sky was completely on fire and we had a first-class view.
To see the the fireworks like that on opening day with my brothers while riding MF for the last ride of the night... that was really cool :)

I've had a Great Season this yr. I Rode the Skyhawk for my 1st Ride on the Opening Day. Then on the Final Day I Rode the Demon Drop for my Last Ride of the Season. I've heard many different things about the Demon Drop. It is SOLD, but will it be taking out this coming year; 2007 or in the yr of 2008?
I hadn't heard it was sold... I would think if it were being taken out for 2007 there would have been some word out about it.

I'm hoping that's true as well, since it was always raining or to windy for the the ride to open.

My best moment wasn't even inside the park. It was walking on the beach with my daughter, seeing her delight in wading in Lake Erie. Her malicious joy in kicking over the pictures and names people had left in the sand. Laughing while we sprayed our feet back off before one last ride on Ocean Motion. A time to be always treasured.

Riding Dragster with my brother (his first time). We hadnt seen each other in years. It was amazing. Also, almost not getting strapped in when we rode Skyhawk. That was something I wont forget. *** Edited 10/30/2006 5:36:03 PM UTC by Ryan L***
I don't even know where to start. I went to CP more times this year than ever before. Each trip I went with different people and got to enjoy it with several of my friends. I think the thing I love most about this season was my realization of the fact the CP is not only for the rides. It's for the atmosphere as well. In previous I always ran from ride to ride but this year I just relaxed and took everthing in. I rode a lot of flats that I had never rode before. The only thing I still haven't done is seen any of the shows. Perhaps 2007 I will. So long 2006.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Fun year for me. The wife was pregnant last year so she didn't get to ride for most of the 05 season.
I had fun introducing my son, Jacob, to Cedar Point this season. He is fascinated by the lights and sounds. It was really cool to see him grow up over the span of this season and it showed how differently he has responded as he developed this year. He was 3 months opening day and is almost 9 months now. By Halloweekends we could take him through the House on Boo Hill and he loved seeing everything around him all at once.
However I think the icing on the cake was that Cindy and I are blessed with friends and family responsible enough to watch Jacob while we get to ride together. We wouldn't be able to enjoy our coaster geekiness without them.

Am I the only one who sees the humor in treasuring a ride on a swinging pirate ship? :)
Thanks, I'm here all week.
Hard to pinpoint them all, as usual...
However, I'll mention two.
1. TTD, front seat in the rain.
2. TTD at night.
Both were under a half-hour's wait, both were personal firsts, and both were AWESOME. :)
('Course, for the first one there happened to be a rainbow over the tophat when I left the ride, so that probably holds #1 of the year.)
1.) Asking my future wife to marry me on opening day (the same day we first met 2 yrs. earlier) in front row of Raptor
2.) First ever Coastermania ( what a freakin blast)
3,) Getting to meet some of you guys and hang out closing day ( the "scream" run on ID was a blast for anyone who knows what I'm talkin about)
