Ride ops being silly...

I too, was there on MForce in late July for the special Wednesday night ERT. The operators were in rare form! The cookie monster(blue train), the banana train(yellow train), and finally the "love train"(red train). They showed us the special Millenium Force dance, which looks sorta like an '80's Mtv montage, and puts the Johnny Rocket's dancers to shame! The announcing ride op was impersonating Cookie Monster every time the blue train came into the station, and had everyone in line dancing and laughing right along with him. It was the most fun I've ever had waiting in line. I rode six times in an hour, mostly to see what they would do next.

A few days before that, I was on Maverick, and it was a very buggy day (anyone who's been, knows about the gnat swarms at CP). When we pulled back into the station, the ride op said "How was your ride, or more importantly, how were those bugs?!" Everyone cheered & groaned, while laughing and wiping off their faces, and spitting out the tiny pests that had flown into their mouths. He laughed and said "Yup, tasty, delicious, filling, AND nutritious! Enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point!"

I was at Michigan's Adventure the year Cedar Fair bought it, and the guy on Corkscrew (theirs, not CP's) kept saying "enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point!"

My recent trip to Cedar Point on Saturday. I was standing in line for Gemini and one of the ride operators actually locked himself in the personal belongings bin and then jumped out as people were exiting the train and then tried to scare everybody. I thought that was really funny because this guy was like my height around 5-8 and fit in the box.

Okay, that had to be a Ride Pride.

I am pretty sure I know who you are talking about on Gemini crew. If it is the same person he also did that when the Coasting for Kids ride marathon was taking place. As he stated he was going in there to take a nap.

I absolutely love Holly from Maverick!
She is so witty when she spiels, it really breaks up the monotony of the task. I can't remember exactly what she was saying, but it was cracking up my friends and me, not to mention everyone around us.
She was giving out high fives and "complementary cups of water" to whoever rode Maverick the most during ERT and putting on a show with her show choir moves.
It's refreshing to see someone with so much energy that early in the morning.

^My friend knows Holly. I have seen her at maverick before. I remember a thread that talked about her alot on here, hopefully it won't get started again......

I know this topic is like two years old, but I wanted to bring it back just to bring up some more funny ride operators. Just recently when I went to Cedar Point; both times actually, this ride operator for Skyhawk has this accent and was saying his spiel in a way that just was funny. At the end of every cycle this guy would say "Thank you and enjoy your day" See you next time". I cannot quote him directly, but it was funny the way he said it.

^I know who you're talking about...I was on two days ago & heard him haha...I love international accents...Woodstock express was by far my favorite though...

I love having fun with people on corkscrew...I'm not ganna give any of it away...just come see it haha....Especially early in the morning or late at night...My mind wanders with ideas around those times...So it's extra fun haha
